Dude, they didn't look serious enough when he went to the doctor!

Not serious enough for a stitch or an xray.

AFTER the fact....Unless Z had medical personnel on site during the fight, then that doesn't matter. What they determined after it was over is irrelevant.

The funny thing is that I don't think Murder 2 is appropriate, but I do care that he lied about how the altercation unfolded. If the jury senses he lied, they may his accounts differently.

More than a couple of experts testified that what ever inconsistencies appear in different accounts told to different people over time are also irrelevant, the main body of the account has remained the same, and backed up by evidence.
