Looks like my brother is in the jury pool draw.

I'd suggest being quite circumspect in referring to this further. Particularly with regards to stated opinions, discussions, suggestions, conclusions, etc., etc.

Definitely.

Has he followed the case much?

Not really, as he does not really care about it.

He is peeved at getting called for jury duty, regardless of the case.

Can't say that I blame him.

Are we talking about the Zimmerman Case? Anyway, I love getting called for jury duty, I find the process fascinating. Granted, they never keep me because I'm too opinionated.

Well, the fact he hasn't weighs in his favor.

For being on the jury. ;0

I have to say, when I was a juror on a murder trial, I considered it an honor, and was proud to do my constitutional duty.

I lost a months worth of business - thousands (I own my own business) , was paid 11.00 per day, and was haunted by the images I was shown, it disrupted my life, my social activity, and even my ability to read the newspaper and be in a room when a story about the trial came on TV,

but in the end, it felt good to know I helped put away a murderer in prison for life, with no chance of parole.

Good for you. I served on a case to award damages from a traffice accident. I did really enjoy it. Maybe I'll get called for a murder trial some day. I can only hope.

I have done both jury and grand jury in my county.

I was slotted for jury on a huge local murder trial last year, but a change of venue negated seating.

The Zimmerman case would be burdensome, as the duty of deciding correctly based upon the evidence is offset by some folks making a decision based upon what the community wants to hear instead.

That is the problem that I see.

So your brother possibly being the jury pool draw rates an entire thread?
