Every headline seems to read that his defense can't do this, can't raise that, and the judge really seems to be on a vendetta since the fund raising fiasco and his court presentation in the bail hearing. I have a hard time understanding why his defense can't use Martin's character issues since they would support him being an aggressive thug capable of exactly what Zimmerman claims he did. It just seems like the fix is in against Zimmerman and I see people who know very little about the case just happy as all get out that is the case?
Do you think his trial is going to be fair?
Trayvon's past means nothing to what zimmerman did to Trayvon on the night of Feb 26, 2012 except to mislead the jurors.
The only thing significant is that very night when Trayvon was just minding his own business and was then wrongly profiled by the overzealous zimmerman who chased and then subsequently gunned Trayvon down in the dark backyard and then claimed self-defence.
The part where zimmerman called the SPD dispatcher to report on Trayvon, up to his ending the call, were all recorded in zimmerman's NEN call. That call was more than four minutes long. Throughout the whole 4 minute call, there was no mention or indication whatsoever of Trayvon being verbally abusive or physically acting in violence.
Even though zimmerman claimed after the fact in his video reenactment of Trayvon coming back from the dark at the cut-through T-junction to circle his truck, which was not even mentioned in his NEN call, that behavior, if believable, is very odd but not aggressive.
BTW, this is yet another one of zimmerman's many contradictory stories where he claimed Trayvon ran to the T-junction and disappeared into the darkness to which he said he lost him. In the NEN call that would be the part where zimmerman was heard getting out of his truck in a hurry to chase after Trayvon and then later he said, "He ran".
So, how did zimmerman manage to be sitting in his truck with Trayvon coming back to circle his truck when we were told he was walking to Retreat View Circle to get an address after the dispatcher told him off and prior to returning to his truck? Weren't we told that after he got an address and was on the way back to his truck that he was punched by Trayvon at the T? So, where and how did the supposedly Trayvon circling his truck fit in?
Now, back to what zimmerman said of Trayvon in his NEN call. By Zimmerman's own words to the dispatcher in his NEN call, he was eyeing Trayvon who was walking and seeking shelter from the rain. Then Trayvon walked away from him with Zimmerman following him behind with his truck before Trayvon took off running away from this "creepy guy". Then this "creepy guy" quickly got out of his vehicle to give chase as we heard in his NEN call.
No self-respecting "thug" in the world, who did nothing wrong that night, would let a stranger stare at him for an extended period of time and then followed behind from a vehicle only to take off running instead of confronting the "creepy guy" in the truck right then and right there on the spot. If Trayvon was a really "thug", Zimmerman would be heard screaming on the phone reporting to the dispatcher of the "thug" erupting with aggression. If being a thug, Trayvon would be pounding on the window of zimmerman's truck and/or throwing the big can of ice tea at him instead of "skipping" away in the dark.
In the thug world that would be a cowardly and disgraceful thing for a "thug" to do where perchance residence looking out from their windows or pedestrians out walking that night might caught a glimpse of a "thug" doing a tuck tail and run.
Are we then to believe zimmerman's words at face value that in the one minute or so of unrecorded encounter of him and Trayvon in the dark where noboody was there to witness what actually happened that very moment that Trayvon suddenly turned into this blood-thirsty monster bending on savagely beating and murdering him into a bloody pulp in cold-blood?
Are we to ignore the more than 4 minutes NEN call recording of that very night that not only showed no aggression on Trayvon's part but did in fact showed that Trayvon was trying to avoid encounter with this "creepy guy" by getting away from the road where zimmerman was driving and running into the back dog-walk in fear of this unknown imminent threat he was facing?
If Trayvon was under the influence of marijuana or other concoction drugs that zimmerman supporters claimed caused him to display aggression, wouldn't the aggression be expressed at the very time when zimmerman was staring at him and following him by wheel and then by truck? How convenient for zimmerman and his supporters that Trayvon would choose to suppress and delay his aggression in the dark after tucking his tail to run?
Or are we expect to accept zimmerman's after the fact of the killing where he has the upmost incentive and motive to lie to save his skin given the myriad inconsistency, contradiction and lies in his various stories?
Bottom line is that zimmerman is on trial and Trayvon is dead by his hand.
