The judge in the George Zimmerman murder case today rejected his lawyers' request to delay the start of his "stand your ground" hearing in April and ordered 500 potential jurors – more than the fire marshal allows in the Seminole County Courthouse jury room – for his June trial.

Circuit Judge Debra S. Nelson made it clear, yet again, that she intends to move the case to trial quickly.

They want more time so George Zimmerman can beg for more money and gain an additional 200 pounds.

George may blow up before this case comes to trial.. He's over 300 pounds now.. I wonder if Shellie has also gained weight.

IMO this case is falling apart.. and I do think they are desperate for donations which have slowed to a trickle.

For George to be declared indigent, he would have to quickly deed his autos to someone else.. and that would be fraud.

So they have spent $380,000 and have been screwing around with social media and body guards.

Of course OMara got a $40k upgrade for his office and another $35 for expenses.... instead of doing the hard work and taking depositions.

Its so............. Florida.

Before the hearing started Thursday, attorneys deposed several Sanford police officers, O'Mara said, and questioned Sanford Investigator William Ervin about a conversation he overheard between the case's lead investigator, Chris Serino, and Trayvon's father.

Ervin on Thursday said that he heard Trayvon's father say the voice screaming for help in the background of a 911 call did not belong to his son, O'Mara said.

No doubt Zimmerman will be thrown to the wolves, so racist race hustlers like Sharpton and Jackson don't create any more problems.

But at least there's one less thug who'll be beating up bus drivers there.

the prosecution's witness has already testified that they have nothing on him

He'll have legal bills till the day he dies, which will probably be at the hands of one of the peaceful followers of the "good reverends."

No doubt, Trayvon's parents will be egged on to file civil charges as well, using funds provided for them to "fight injustice."

Zimmerman was just a tool used to drive ignorant Democrat voters to the polls.

The Judge is not Lady Justice.
And her actions are taking on the appearance of injustice.
She wont give the defense the time it needs to prepare. That is an injustice.

The defense isn't like the State with basically unlimited manpower and resources.
The defense should be given all the time they believe they need.

No - they shouldn't be given all the time they need. . .Filibusters are only in the Senate. Evidently - whatever they requested the delay for wasn't necessary.

How much time do they need?? There is less evidence (and less COMPLEX evidence) in this trial than in the Casey Anthony trial. It'll be a year since the shooting on the 26th...and about 14 months since the shooting when this goes to a hearing for jury selection.

In the Casey Anthony case, the actual TRIAL began May 24, 2011, just under two years after Casey was charged.

So...I could understand maybe a couple of months of additional time...maybe...but I can't imagine why it's needed. Hasn't Zimmerman been cooperating with police? Haven't the witnesses cooperated? Wasn't the body of Treyvon readily available immediately after the fact for forensic analysis?

the defense has repeatedly had to go before the court to seek the documents it is entitled to receive
even now, the defense is still seeking to depose crump
can't imagine the judge refusing to extend the time as the court date approaches if the prosecution is still found to be dilatory in its responsiveness to the discovery process

Serino stated Tracy Martin quietly said "no" after he heard the screams on the 911 tape. He later clarified he meant it as in "no, this can't be happening" or "no, that can't be my son". Tracy Martin never stated "I can confirm those screams are not my son".

it will depend on what question was asked
did the officer inquire "is that your son's voice we heard screaming for help"
the father's "no" response would be telling

and this is why it was important that the defense was able to depose that investigator to determine exactly what was asked and answered

2. The defense has time. She never stated, "I will not give you time to prepare." Stop making things up, it is sad.

He was directly asked and responded "No".

We all know what he meant by it.

But now, if they don't bring Zimmerman to trial, the Martin's will be unsuccessful in suing. So of course he changed his tune.
Too bad he said it to a direct question though.

Having played the recordings, Investigator Serino asked Mr. Martin if that was his son’s voice crying for help.

“Mr. Martin, clearly emotionally impacted by the recording, quietly responded ‘No,’ ” the report reads, though it adds that this exchange was not itself audio recorded.

Stupid? He just found out his son was killed, and he was hearing screams which could possibly be his son for the first time. IT is highly possible he was in a state of shock or disbelief.

Remember, these are actual people with real emotions and connections to those involved. It is completely different from us seeing/hearing evidence on the internet.
