It will be central to both the pross and defense.

Zimmerman hurt his case when he tried to lie about the reason he got out of his car.

Who knows, crazy bastard that he is.

He murdered Trayvon, which is obvious to any non racist...

1 Z broke no law by getting out of his truck and

2 was to see where M had gone to, so he could tell the police when they got there.

I doubt it will matter much.

Zimmerman is well within his right to get out of his car if he chooses to. The whole case will rest on if he can convince a jury that he was attacked and his life in danger.

Eh, who cares, so another Black person is murdered for the crime of being Black, no biggie

Zimmerman got out of the car to keep and eye on Martin.

Well, that's the reason he gave. IMO he got out of his car to make sure Martin, who is assumed was up to no good, didn't get away.

No offense meant here, but do you really need to create so many threads in this topic? Wouldn't one suffice to discuss your concerns?

I don't thinks so. Every general question about the case get's paralyzed by the flotsam and jetsam of those pushing positions that any real enlightenment and understanding becomes impossible.

The only way to discuss this case and come away with any real understanding is by taking each point singly and fleshing them out without having to deal with the gristle and fat.

If it had been up to the racists, there would have been no investigation let alone a trial.

Lol... That kinda nullifies your point.

What we are ending up with are a lot of little piles of gristle and a few side orders of fat.

It seems to me he got out his truck to make sure he could still tell the cops where he saw Martin.

I think the defense will be able to convince the jury of that.

The problem is, the pross don't care.

Think of it as a jigsaw puzzle. You don't start at the center and work your way out, you work on different sections at a time and when inspiration in one begins to peter out you move on to another until sections begin to link to one another and the picture becomes clear.

You have to convince Zimmerman of that as well, since he denied trying to "keep an eye" on Martin. Speaking of that, when did Zimmerman claim he was following Martin to keep an eye on him? I don't believe he ever said that. He claimed he got out to look for an address, where he passed right by his friend's (Taffee?) house.

Yeah, a jury will buy an explanation Zimmerman never admitted to. You guys are on to something:lol:

Zimmerman: "I wasn't following him, I was going in the same direction as him...looking for a street address."

Serino: <Laughing> "That is following".

Nope, nothing of him following to keep an eye. Just him looking for an address. Lame excuse. This dude needs to lie better:lol:

"Speaking of that, when did Zimmerman claim he was following Martin to keep an eye on him? I don't believe he ever said that."

The Hannity interview.

Let me ask you this. At that point, we can hear the unbuckling of the seatbelt, hear you opening the car door, and this dispatch asked you at that point, and this became a very key moment that everyone in the media focused on, and the dispatcher asked you, "are you following him?" And you said yes. Explain that.

ZIMMERMAN: I meant that I was going in the same direction as him, to keep an eye on him so that I could tell the police where he was going. I didn't mean that I was actually pursuing him.
