Judge Kenneth Lester apparently truly believes he'll get a lifelong appointment to a federal bench via Obama if he continued to trash Obama's surrogate son. But that just shows how irrational, not just corrupt and incompetent, he is.
Lester is an elected Republican judge. He is dependent upon winning Republican primaries to stay a judge. He doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell at surviving the next Republican primary. Republican clubs (and in this region) are passing resolutions calling for his removal and primary defeat if not.
Republicans in Florida are well aware of Democrats-in-Republican-clothing like Kenneth Lester, who decide to play kiss-ass with President Obama and national Democrats. Just ask Charlie Crist how that worked out for him.
THE most influential person in Republican politics is Bill O'Reilly. If he is against you and your are running as a Republican, you have no chance. O'Reilley came out yesterday furious over releasing undocumented accusations against Zimmerman for "child molesting" - condemning the prosecutor specifically.
Sean Hannity, the second most influential and someone who never lets go of anything once he fixated on it, flew to Florida specifically for an EXTREMELY rare entire 1 hour interview making it clear he supports Zimmerman's side, though not outright saying so.
Judge Kenneth Lester thinks he's clever in repeating his hardnosed "To hell with due process, truth, evidence and law" as a renegade maverick out to get the bad guys as he decides as a little self appointed demigod. But people, Republicans, recognize he is just trying to play kiss-ass with Obama and the Democrats - and Republicans will trash him out in the next primary. He's one of those zippy pinhead types who thinks he's very clever when really he is just a fool with it all transparent to those who matter - Republican primary voters.
When Republican women's clubs are passing resolutions calling for the removal or defeat of a Republican elected official, particularly a judge, and that judge also even is crosswise with Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity, that judge is politically doomed. So his only hope is an Obama appointment. What a foolish old man he is.
This Republican backlash could reach to minimally causing Republican Rick Scott having a serious Republican primary challenger and Republican Attorney General Pam Bondi WILL have MAJOR Republican challengers as it is her office that is the prosecution in the case - the prosecution that vowed to "strongly oppose the stand your ground defense."
Republicans know/believe that is how liberal democrats get around democracy and the public - they use the courts. Republican A.G. Pam Bondi had her staffer totally ignore the constitutional requirement for a citizens grand jury to decide, to by pass law and the public, in a campaign to also circumvent the Florida legislature on SYG using her staff and a corrupt judge to do so.
I would guess that 90+% of Florida Republicans are pro-gun-rights and favor SYG. So it is merely a campaign to point out that Pam Bondi is using her office to try to backdoor eliminate SYG to blow her out in the Republican Primary, along with Judge Lester.
Judge Kenneth Lester is politically doomed in the next Republican primary and he is a fool to think he's going to get an Obama federal appointment out of this. Who knows the outcome of the bizarre trial via a totally corrupt judge and prosecutor. But the outcome of Judge Lester's political future is certainly known. He doesn't have one.
