You have to be pretty naive to dismiss the possibility of Zimmerman being railroaded, considering the racial dynamics of the case combined with the rabid media focus upon it.

but its not the same Trayvon Martin, even though lots of Zimmerman-supporters wish it were.

interesting, I too believe Trayvon wasn't the angel the media likes to portray, but murder is murder, so it really changes nothing for me at this point.

it wasn't created by white supremacists.

they first pulled it from the website of some guy who is also named Trayvon Martin.
 
What Martin was doing prior to the night of his death is not relative to what he was doing in the 20-30 minutes immediately prior to his death. The only circumstances that matter in this case are what Zimmerman and Martin did in those 30 minutes that ended with one of them wounded and the other dead.

Martin may or may not have made bad decisions that night.
Zimmerman may or may not have made bad decisions that night.
But BOTH MEN made decisions that resulted in a death.

Character assassinations as a means of justifying Martin's death or promoting Zimmerman's guilt (or innocence) are low brow.

It has been interesting how assumption, one sided word questions and answers, using race to bait, has pretty much taken over these threads.

I agree with your post. IMO, GZ and TM played a role in leading up to TM's death. Hopefully an unbiased jury can be found, can weight the evidence, not allow race or political pressures influence them, and come to a correct and defendable decision.

I do think finding that jury is going to be difficult with all of the news and internet interest in the case.

The case is incredibly simple as a legal question. There are 2 questions that matter:

Is there reasonable doubt that George Zimmerman feared for his life or of serious injury under violent assault by Trayvon Martin?

Can the State of Florida prove that beyond a reasonable doubt that George Zimmerman is who started the violent fight or assault?

All the rest is a bunch of crap as criminal legal prosecution/defense issues. But they can be interesting topics otherwise.

Both TM and GZ were/are losers, petty people, who make poor decisions and undertook actions well beyond their knowledge, insights or skill. This escalated to a confrontation, a violent confrontation and then a deadly confrontation. Yet it is only when it became violent that anyone had done anything illegal. Thus are of no real relevancy.

It also would take a very competent, experienced, and neutral judge who limited the trial to direct relevancy evidence and testimony. The judge of the case is exactly opposite that. He is a civil judge that has been running his court and this case like a television small claims court for which he is both the defense and prosecution, for which he makes political statements as an elected judge and using extra judicial and improper speculations while doing so.

It also would take a highly competent judge to prevent the DOJ, FBI, State Attorney and other political and law enforcement influences to insure a random jury panel is presented.

Since the judge has made nothing but negative statements about and to Zimmerman and the defense, there are other reasons for concerns.

Total lack of any parental supervision.
There also is evidence of his friends posting violent gang messages and symbols on websites.

A spoiled, violent, out of control juvenile deliquent doper and school-suspensions social malcontent - not the sweet little 12 year old walking home from a candy store.
