Judge sets George Zimmerman's bail at $1M

The ... inflicted.
My posts are cool too. You should try reading them sometime.
There's a discrepancy between the FL law and your reading of the constitution.
So, the question was "Joko, how is it that FL law which says that people facing potential life terms are not required to receive bail has passed challenge and constitutional muster?"

Posting from the USC just reaffirms what I had already said. The question assumes this information already. How can this apparent contradiction be?
It you haven't checked out how this paradoxical situation survived challenge yet, it seems a little early for you to reach some of the conclusions you've based on the bond issue.

Just, to be thorough. You know...

It'll make your theories better to read. imho anyway.

The problem with this crap is who defines what is excessive? There is too much grey in the constitution. I wish they would have put it cut and dry, like no more than 20% of someone's net worth, or something. Something tangible. None of this "reasonable or excessive" crap. It's stupid.
I have heard that a certain amount of vagueness was intentional so that they could get the votes needed to get the in place. Various compromises hidden behind vagueness--details tbd later.

Supposedly the new discovery batch comes out today

•Email from Zimmerman and Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee.

•Cell phone records from Trayvon's father, Tracy Martin.

•The testimony of 21 new unidentified "civilian" witnesses – those not working for a government agency.

•What Central Florida gun shop owners had to say about Zimmerman's comments and behavior while buying the gun that killed Trayvon, taking target practice and getting training for his concealed weapons permit.

•What Zimmerman told police dispatchers and officers the six times he called Sanford and Seminole County authorities, presumably reporting problems as a Neighborhood Watch volunteer, in the six months before Trayvon's shooting.

•The account of a private investigator hired by the Martin family.

•Crime scene photos, diagrams and dispatch records.

•Seminole County jail records.

•-What state alcohol agents have to say about Zimmerman. The agency arrested him in 2005 for resisting arrest without violence during a raid at a bar near the University of Central Florida.

They really are going all out in his persecution. That pretty much shows that their case in chief is weak.

The judge said the evidence is strong. What conspiracy theory are you using to ignore that?

lol
Ignore?
What is to ignore? lol :doh

There is no reason not to point out that the Judge has abdicated his duties as an impartial Jurist and has taken a side.
Yet that is typical of many Judges. They get away with it.

Abdicated his duties? Once again it is necessary to educate GZ supporters. He is required by law to assess the strength of the evidence against the defendant for bail consideration. Please learn the basic facts before making more foolish accusations.

Please provide a link to the SCOTUS's ruling on Florida's statute.

I don't know that it has been challenged.
If it has not been challenged, that is one possible reason why it might still stand. Is it the reason?
You should already know these things because they're essential to your theory.
What I am saying to you is that if you covered these sorts of contingencies in your theories, the theories'd be improved by it imho.
ymmv

You think you are educating someone... lol ... how quaint.

The Judge failed at those duties and took a side.

As I said; This behavior is normal.
