It does seem like she committed perjury, just like the officer who swore the affidavit has admitted he did.

It is clear that the Zimmermans aren't of high intelligence and are acting in a panic mode. I suspect few people sent to jail without ANY hearing, a prosecutor breaking every rule in the book and every level of corruption, the President declaring you killed his son, and the media running 1000 hours of deliberate lies would tend to cause an average salt-of-the-earth person to act in emotional swings, occasional panic, and attempts of at false assurances to himself and his wife - and via versa.

It would have been more merciful if Obama has just used his new executive power and ordered Zimmerman assasinated. But that wouldn't help Obama's re-election and this might.

Zimmerman can not grasp that he has already been adjudged guilty and is being jailed accordingly. His defense team switched teams from the start. The prosecutor and judge will stack the jury, the defense will put up a token, passive deliberately losing defense, and that's the end of Zimmerman. You can not kill the president's son regardless of reason and with swing states at issue Zimmerman is an irrelevancy as is rule of law.

I have heard that avoiding CTRs generates SARs and can lead to charges of structuring which, actually IS illegal. afaict.
