George Zimmerman's legal team adds murder specialist Don West

7:32 p.m. EST, May 31, 2012|
By Rene Stutzman and Jeff Weiner, Orlando Sentinel

...

West spent several years in private practice, specializing in death penalty cases, before joining the federal public defender's office in Orlando. He left that job Thursday, specifically to join O'Mara and defend Zimmerman, he said.

"That's true," West said. "I am excited about taking it on. It'll be quite a challenge. … This seemed like the right case."

He and O'Mara, long-time friends, had dinner recently, he said.

"I hadn't seriously considered being involved in the case, then just by coincidence, Mark and I wound up going out together. … We talked about it. I was flattered when he was interested."

This is interesting.
I wonder if O'Mara is feeling a little overwhelmed?

Me, being cocky, think I would make a very public showing (to no avail), politely asking Dershowitz to put his money where his mouth is.

I guess the more the merrier unless it becomes too many cooks spoiled the foods. Anyway, the previous thread of mine is closed, so I couldn't post a reply to your last post. Here was the previous post of yours:

Here's my response with regards to the FDLE lab report issue:

How is any different than having Angela Corey as the prosecutor instead of some other. Any good defense will develop the best team they can to handle the situation.

Your non-sense has no business in this thread.

At least not until the conversation goes that way, and then, by all means let loose whatever pertains.
In this thread.

But don't direct me to your blog claims of incredulous machinations.

Well, I think it is a lot different than having Dershowitz.

looks like that Manslaughter conviction is just a matter of time.

Why? and on what category of manslaughter? Be specific

yuo think its a complete fantasy, that the jury will convict George of Manslaughter??????

wow, talk about denial.
The fantasy is in your head, so why don't you tell us.

Me personally; I do not want any part of your fantasy where you think a conviction is the only out come.

I'm actually surprised it took this long to get a second attorney. Usually cases like this require at least 2 competent attorneys committed to the case.
