I am not sure if I find this offensive or not. I would think that those who support capitalism would be OK with this creative thinking.

"An online vendor who said he was capitalizing on controversy around the shooting death of Trayvon Martin told WKMG-TV in Orlanda that he rapidly "sold out" gun-range targets made to resemble the teen."

"The targets did not picture 17-year-old Martin’s face, but instead portrayed a hoodie sweatshirt, a style that has become iconic since his death, with crosshairs drawn over the chest. The figure is shown holding a packet of Skittles candy and a beverage can, the video report showed."

It celebrates the unnecessary death of a young man. Good thing they're not selling Zimmerman targets. I could imagine the outcry from the Cons.

It takes his tragic death, and turns it into "Hey, you can shoot a gangsta too! Isn't Zimmerman an American hero? Now you can be one too!"

Were it not for the skittles, I'd agree that it might not be modeled on him. The skittles are a dead giveaway

What if they made a target of a man sitting in the theater wearing a stovepipe hat? You wouldn't find it a little bit wrong that it's obviously Lincoln?

The one really has nothing to do with the other.

There are lots of things for sale which I find crass and offensive, but it has nothing to do with supporting someone's right to make and sell it.
 
Its pretty douchey. Seems a lot of douchey stuff has emerged from this incident. Targets, bounty on someone's head, trademarking of the kids name.

Hell, who knows. I thought walking down a street was legal but I guess many here are having problem with that now.

I am probably doing something illegal now just typing this.

the target is holding Skittles & ice-tea. The target is clearly of Trayvon Martin, whom the designer of the target sees as a faceless dark figure.

Individual People in every country on the planet do stupid **** to make a profit every single day.

Why you pin this on America rather than on the Individual (s) involved is quite stupid.
