The Miami Herald reported that Zimmerman had a Myspace social media account where he wrote insulting remarks about Mexicans.

He referred to an ex-girlfriend as a “hoe,” talked about beating a felony rap and complained that every Mexican he ran into pulled a knife on him. One line suggested that friends went to jail rather than snitch on him.

“Workin 96 hours to get a decent pay check, gettin knifes pulled on you by every mexican you run into!” Zimmerman wrote.

So Zimmerman, who is part-Hispanic, doesn't like Mexicans.


As I recall he didn't shoot a Mexican....

Does everything have to be about race??

He was assaulted before he left Manassas, VA.

I don't really think his "hoe" remark matters at all. People say bad stuff about exes.

As for the felony thing....eh. If I were charged with something and got off I'd probably say something, too.

It looks like the I hate Zimmerman crowd is getting desperate.
 
While social media remarks may indeed be "fair game" in a court of law....that does not mean that a judge or members of a jury will find those remarks as damning evidence against Zimmerman. I suspect it will be summarily dismissed by any judge that is not already biased in the case....since it has nothing to do with the case before the court.

I'm just stuck on trying to figure out why him being Hispanic has any bearing on whether or not he "likes" Mexicans.

Calling an ex-girlfriend a "hoe" isn't a big deal. I'm curious what the nature of his "talking about beating a felony rap" was because I'd like to know if he was just relieved or arrogantly boasting. And the comments about Mexicans are gross and they sound like a lot of ignorant Americans with xenophobic tendencies. Unfortunate.

Trayvon isn't on trial. His personal life isn't relevant to the case.

He would only be hating himself if Mexican and Peruvian were even close to the same thing. And I don't think anyone would try to frame this as "hatred." They would frame it a comment that shows a history of stereotyping and potential racial/ethnic profiling.

bull****. it shows the kind of person he was and how he may have reacted when zimmerman asked him what he was doing there. martin's past is just as relevant as zimmerman's.

Do you call your ex a whore? Not a crime. But certainly speaks to how little class he has. And the Mexican comment is telling to some extent. Certainly could be construed as racist.

I don't know much about Sharon as a person, but nothing in the OP mentioned race. It's simply talking about what Zimmerman said about Mexicans and Mexican isn't a race. I don't know how you can make someone look like a racist by reporting that they made negative remarks about a non-racial group.

What it really shows you is the mind of a paranoid delusional man. Everyone is out for him. Everybody he sees is up to no good.

His defense attorneys will never allow George to take the stand. He is too much of a wild cannon. This trial will be ended in a plea deal.
