Man accused of pointing bow and arrow at protesters charged

McCormick was seen getting out of his car and yelling, “All lives matter!” police said in court documents. Video footage shows he grabbed a large knife from his car and moved toward a crowd while continuing to yell.

McCormick then went back to his car, where he grabbed a bow and arrow, according to additional footage. He drew the arrow back and pointed it at several people in the crowd, police said.

Police didn’t arrest McCormick the day of the protest because they didn’t see him point the bow and arrow, Salt Lake City Police Detective Greg Wilking said.

Officers did see him being beaten by the crowd and treated his injuries, but in the chaos didn’t realize what he had done before they arrived, he said.

Authorities opened an investigation after video emerged that culminated in the charges filed Thursday.

Maybe 3 police officers shouldn’t have held a guy down while he was being murdered by one of their own. Interesting you ignore the cause of the riots to begin with.

Not buried but in a proper order of importance- man wields a knife, threatens with bow and arrow, gets his ass kicked and his vehicle burned. At first the police thought he was an 'innocent' attacked by the crowd and later learned he threatened people and was arrested....


It is rather laughable some claim both open the economy up, mindless of the risk to millions, and want to hold protesters responsible for the spread???? :shock:

Was the beating this man took warranted? The left, the protestors, say the death of George Floyd was a crime, I agree. Was George Floyd innocent? He had reportedly passed a counterfit $20 and he had a criminal history. All that not to be justification of his death. The man in this thread, brandished a knife and a bow and arrow. For that he was badly beaten. Is one much different fromt he other. The left justifies violence, arson, beatings, even killings on their side and yet condemns them on the other side.
This is the problem. They say the right doesn't see their side. I say the left doesn't either. The left questions and condemns Christians but ask for understanding, that is Christianity. That is Jesus Christ. Do unto others. Nobody is perfect but Christianity teaches understanding and forgiveness. What are the riots teaching?

Pointing a deadly weapon at someone is aggravated assault, if not attempted murder.
