Video: Walgreens Workers Look On As Looters Ransack San Fran Store

Three problems with this thread that you started:

The law you are referring to WAS PASSED ALMOST SIX YEARS AGO!!!! WHY ARE YOU BRINGING IT UP NOW!?!?!

Second issue: it is a guideline for prosecutors to decided if a case is worth it only....you do not get away scott-free if after the police arrests you (yes, you still get arrested for shoplifting ANY amount) but the prosecutor simply decides that if what you stole is under $950 and taking you to court over it is a waste of time, then he can choose prosecute you. YOU CAN STILL BE ARRESTED AND PROSECUTED FOR THEFTS $950 AND UNDER!!!!!

Third issue...if you think $950 is too of a threshold, or if you believe that there should be no threshold at all for a prosecutor...then explain the Texas version of this law in that red state where the amount is $1500, only $550 more than San Fran. WHY AREN'T YOU COMPLAINING ABOUT THAT!?!?!

Sorry for the all caps in some of this, but sometimes people are either not thinking when they post, or they are working for the Russians in an effort to divide our nation by bringing up old topics to keep people angry. I mean, it took me literally less than 30 seconds to figure out this is a nothing burger...but some of you are either too lazy or too ignorant to figure it out for yourselves....or perhaps you just like being angry all the time...which is pretty sad.

You don’t know squat about what is going on in San Francisco.

I can't believe how they were so casual about robbing the store. They took their time, weren't rushing, and casually walked out when they got their fill of free goodies.

When you pass laws like that, it invites this kind of crime.
You have been taken in. This story was generated by InfoWars. Overall, InfoWars/Alex Jones is a crackpot, tin foil hat level conspiracy website that also strongly promotes pseudoscience. The amount of fake news and debunked conspiracy claims, as well as extreme right wing bias, renders InfoWars a non-credible source on any level.

Are you saying that the video is fake? Well then, why don't you link me to the website that determined that the video was a fake and that the story was manufactured by infowars?

Anyone who would proclaim that a video of a robbery was phony, either has evidence that supports that claim, or they are one of those people who's ideological beliefs are so flawed that denial has become a way of life.

I can easily believe it!

Many ladies and gentlemen in this country are out of control.

They may be stupid when it comes to the 3 R's.

But they are super intelligent when it comes to their knowledge that they are free to do whatever they want.

That's why students attack teachers; young gentlemen sucker punch innocent pedestrians; young ladies and gentlemen (as pointed out in the OP) rush into stores and steal; etc.

Nothing happens to those ladies and gentlemen.

To hold them accountable would be, gulp, "discrimination."

What is fake is the claim that shoplifting is now legal. That is not so.

We can always just shoot them on sight.

When I was in school in the 60's I went to public schools, but even they offered Latin, German, French, Italian, and of course Spanish classes.

Now? I'm pretty sure unless it's a very expensive prep type school both public and private schools only offer Spanish.

Too bad, because IMO learning another language is an important learning tool for all kids.

My son is in public school and takes French and Spanish.

Don't worry. Alabama is executing a black man tonight. All's well in the good ole USA.

I guess he shouldn't have been involved in the murder of 3 cops.

I could be wrong, but I also believe I heard somewhere that San Fran (it could be LA) isn't going to prosecute shoplifting so long as it's under $500.

So crime can indeed pay, around $130,000 per year, based on a 5 day work week.

I had to look that up!

But, nope. I'm just someone who was lucky enough to receive a Catholic School education, back when we believed in giving our young people a proper classical education. Something I strongly believe in today (and in-turn provided for my kids).

I had a "chief engineer" who used those words every time the engineering plant went awry. The ships Chaplain explained them to me during one of our "shoot the ****" conversations.

And it helps a person to get laid while in a foriegn country.

I gather they don't speak Spanish in the foothills of destiny and your son will need to go to a foreign country to get laid in Spanish. There are many Spanish speaking areas of the USA of course.

They do speak beer and lotto tickets in the foothills of destiny.

Welcome to ground zero of the democrat's utopia.

I get it, it's just merchandise. No big deal. They can just make more.

When I saw the title of the thread I thought it might have something to do with the coronavirus and hoarding....but no. All three of the masked culprits were women and they were stealing cosmetics.

If I was in that store I would've followed them out and tried to get an ID or a license plate number. But why did it take a customer entering the store to call for the police and not the workers? Did I detect a spanish accent?

Ignorance! And now we will next see intellectual dishonest in your response to this message - if you do.

The threshold in Texas was set by the DEMOCRATIC Dallas Country Sheriff. Look it up. But "some of you are either too lazy or too ignorant to figure it out for yourselves....or perhaps you just like being angry all the time...which is pretty sad" - too quote you.
