David Ige was born and raised in Pearl City, Hawaii, and is the fifth of six sons of Tokio and Tsurue Ige, ethnic Japanese Americans of Okinawan descent.[1] During World War II, Tokio served in the 100th Battalion/442nd Infantry Regimental Combat Team[2] and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. After the war, his father worked as a steelworker on construction projects while his mother worked as a nurse and dental hygienist. Tokio Ige died in 2005 at the age of 86. Tsurue, now retired, resides in Pearl City.

David Ige attended public schools in Pearl City – Pearl City Elementary School, Highlands Intermediate School, and Pearl City High School. He also participated in community sports, beginning with eight years of playing in the Pearl City Little League. At the newly built Pearl City High School, Ige excelled in many activities. In his junior year, he was elected student body vice president, and he served as senior class president the following year. His campaign for student body president stressed diversity and an end to bullying. Ige also led his varsity tennis team to a championship and was honored as the "Scholar-Athlete of the Year." He graduated fifth in his class of more than 500 students in 1975.[3]

Despite being accepted into the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Ige attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. While at UH, he served as student body secretary and an officer of several honor societies as well as treasurer and vice-president of his fraternity, Phi Delta Sigma.

Why did I post this?

Although Mr. Ige is a citizen born and raised in Pearl City, Hawaii and although he was a community sports participator and although he excelled in many activities and although he was elected student body vice president in Highschool and although his campaign on campus was to end bullying, and although he led his varsity tennis team to a championship and although he was honored as the 'scholar-athlete of the year', and although he graduated 5th among more than 500, and although he was accepted into M.I.T and although he earned a B.S from The universtiy of Manoa and although he was the student body secretary and officer of several honors societies, and although he was treasurer and vice president of his fraternity, Phi Delta Sigma, his language skills would make another citizen born and raised in Pearl City, Hawaii, question and ponder his English speaking 'discrepancies'.

What is your point? That breakdown in the alert system causing all of that negativity in the lives of Hawaiians was a big deal that mostly got pooh poohed by the so-called journalists really pissed me off, and the entire run around that went with it (lies too as I remember)....a dice demonstration of the lack of accountability in America as well as our general inability to get the important basics done right anywhere but especially by government.

EDIT: Oh, so now there is a post #2...MKAy..

And although you ask, 'what is your point', such questions make another citizen ask and question the 'discrepancies' to such questions asked after the 'point' was made and given.

It behooves myself to believe that other U.S citizens do not find other 'supposedly' U.S citizens which are lacking in the English language as acceptable and 'moral' while placing them in seats of authority, power and rulerships.

There are 3 known C.E.Os in the U.S which have similar 'deficiencies' as far as their 'school and work' history are concerned.

Not to mention other well noted and well 'published about' persons holding high titles within the U.S.

Surgeons, especially neurosurgeons, do not become well respected neurosurgeons by 'skimming through school'. Rather, they are less celebratized than celebratized for their studious life and continued lifestyle(s).

If such 'skimmers' were to hold the scalpel in any attempt at performing intricate and precise surgeries, it would be seen as 'murder' in other certain 'well reputed' establishments.

Sadly this explanation does not help much.

I feel like I am in a Koan.

Whom should I 'defend' or have sympathy for? The skimmers or the 'patients'?

Now mind you... The 'majority' of Church/sex scandals are from within The U.S. Some might ask what Church/sex scandals have to do with medicine or any other field of 'study' and work in the U.S, but the highest number of Church/sex scandals, even to the underage, are from within the U.S. Even to the point of cumulative world -vs- U.S 'cases.

When society throws away the Truth Tellers prepare for the worst, for it is surely coming.
Open your eyes and your mind and then speak truth..........That is the only way forwards.

??

Would you happen to have a neurosurgery license to practice? Why are medical licenses called 'licenses to 'practice'? Are patients 'practice' subjects?

A medical license is an occupational license that permits a person to legally practice medicine.

A physician, medical practitioner, medical doctor, or simply doctor is a professional who practises medicine, which is concerned with promoting, maintaining, or restoring health through the study, diagnosis, and treatment of disease, injury, and other physical and mental impairments.

You've taken three posts to come close to anything resembling a point, and I'm still not entirely sure what you're getting at. I feel like I've just read an essay that's missing the introductory and closing paragraphs. I think you're criticizing people who cheat in college and obtain a degree without actually earning it, but I can't say that I'm certain that this is the point that you're trying to make.
