Coloradoans - Hickenlooper May Run for President

Looks like Hickenlooper is setting the table for a run for President.

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper is creating a political action committee, putting him a giant step closer to jumping into the race for president in 2020, Colorado Politics confirmed Monday.

But the governor also extended his timetable for deciding whether to enter the race, saying he now plans to wait until after he leaves office in January.

I've always liked Hickenlooper. He's a very no-nonsense guy.

Where does Hickenlooper stand on issues related to Christian values and beliefs?

He opposes God's position on homosexuality and civil unions. He opposes God's condemnation of infanticide. He opposes Christian views of capital punishment and imprisonment for offenders.

He also supports lax voter registration rules and is against voter identification protections for American elections. He favors the legalization of mind-altering substances and increased funding for many government programs, including healthcare, education, and government agencies like the EPA. He favors communistic redistribution of wealth silliness and raising higher taxes on harder working Americans who make more money than others (become rich in the eyes of bums) because of that hard work and increased sacrifice.

He is a democrat and will not likely be able to hide his socialistic, communistic anti-American views well if he runs for national office.

Don't pretend that matters to you fake Christians. It doesn't. The more immoral a candidate is the more you people worship them. If you, specifically you Marke, don't support Hickenlooper it is probably because he hasn't been divorced enough times, or paid for enough sex, or because he hasn't sexually assaulted enough women. He may not be willing to do those things for your athiestic votes.

Both my grandfather and my uncle were democrats and deacons in Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock Arkansas during the 1980s when Bill Clinton was attending. My grandfather was close friends with Wilbur Mills when Mills was still in power before his sexual misdeeds were made public. I never supported democrats whether they were sexually promiscuous or not. I realize republicans also have sins in their closets (some more than others) but I still vote against those who promote baby murder and other ungodly policies, regardless of what sins those politicians may be accused of.

Oh I didn't realize your uncle going to church suddenly makes you a Christian. Can you quote me the verse that says "as long as your daddy's brother went to church a couple times you are a good Christian and can ignore any abomonination inconvenient to you because politics is more important than faith, values and morals"? I swear I've read that book and went back and searched and for the life of me I cannot find the passages that state that.

You suggested I supported politicians with reputations for vile immorality. My democrat relatives did that, but I don't. I support sinners who are favorable to conservative Christian policies and values. There are no sinless politicians.

You condemn Hickenlooper for consentual relations between two adults but applaud other for rape and sexual assault. There is not a single Christian in the GOP right now. I do not support sin. I do vote for sinners but only when there are no sinless candidates on the ballot, if you catch my drift. I oppose adultery and divorce, and do not support adultery and divorce in politicians I support for other reasons. I do not support whatever extramarital relations the Hickenloser may have had, but it is his opposition to God's condemnation of adultery, divorce, rape, and sexual perversion that makes me oppose his candidacy.

Plenty of Democrats are Christian. Jimmy Carter was the most Christian president in modern times. A Christian is a believer in Jesus Christ as Saviour. And it is supposed to follow that Christian values will be inherent to a Christian. I see no Christian values in Republican policies that rob the poor, in favor of policies for billionaires. I see no Christian values in building skyrocketing deficits that the poor and middle class of future generations will be saddled with. I see no Christian values in denial of science and climate change, which will be a curse on future generations. The only way Hickenlooper could ever get his Party's nomination is if the media is successful in rewriting his history. Now, I'm not saying that is impossible. But it's a tall order.

His problem is that he has always touted himself as being a moderate. The Democratic Party won't accept a moderate nowadays. They have moved so far to the left that only people like Sen. Harris, Booker or that wild-eyed lady from NY will ever be considered. The Dems have no use for...and will never trust...a moderate.

Jimmy Carter opposed prayer in public schools and condemned Christian proselyting of the heathen, including Muslims. He was not the kind of Christian that many Christian conservatives supported. Bill and Hillary as well as the Obamas also claimed to be Christians but they were not the kind of Christians conservative Christians could support.

That is called "cooking the books." The problem with credit card spending like that is that borrowed riches are always followed by painful, long term debt repayment which will cost future taxpayers trillions to eliminate, if even possible.

If you do not vote for sinners I wonder if you even vote at all. Or do you like to vote for some sins while voting against others? You must live a very busy life researching the lives of candidates dating back sometimes half a century and judging between the sinners worthy of support and the sinners unworthy of support.

You cannot point to real sins against very many politicians today. Many may hold different political views so you assume the worst but others are blatantly immoral. You support the most immoral candidates period. I don't know why you are arguing that.
