Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) says that she and her husband are ready to leave their home in Alaska and “get outside and do more.”

“We were anchored here for the kids. Now our youngest daughter is going to be out of school — she's going to go to nursing school — she'll be taken care of,” Palin said in an interview with the Daily Mail published on Wednesday. “And we're ready to do a lot more.”

“We’re not going to be holed up in Wasilla, Alaska, the rest of our life,” the 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate continued.

I wish her well. She was fun to watch & listen to. 'I can see Russia from my front porch,' etc.

And you love to run your mouth about the "right" not letting go of Hillary?

I gotta admit...........you're consistent.

She makes it sound like she is not happy with life in Alaska with terms like

holed up

get outside and do more

we were anchored here

One thing is for sure; she's a real character.

And not bad to look at, either. Things would go south fast when she started talking, though.

She was probably John McCain's biggest mistake of his career. He really opened up Pandora's box by picking her for VP. Before that, of course, we had inklings of the GOP craziness: Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Newt Gingrich, etc... but I never knew that such a vast bulk of the GOP was so backward and ignorant. She really gave voice to them and brought them out into the open. She was like a needle you stick in a boil- and the pus then just keeps oozing out, and oozing out, and oozing out, and it won't stop, and you wonder where all this stuff was before. She really made it clear that the ignorance and backwardness wasn't just a bug in the GOP, it was the main feature.

Hopefully she's moving across the pond to Siberia.

Her biggest contribution was exposing how partisan the women’s rights groups were and how they were udderly nothing more than a political from for liberal democrats.

I never saw Tina Fey in black face making fun of Moochelle Obama.

Just because you are a feminist doesn’t mean you think any woman off the street belongs in the whitehouse.

She didn't say that, but I guess it doesn't matter anyway.

I’m talking about the political side of the movement. Much like the unions, the politics of the leaders don’t always match up with the rank and files politics.

Alaska will breath a sigh of relief as their mean IQ rises, once she departs.

She probably wants to help republican campaigns. That can't go well. It seemed like her older daughter was embarrassed by her. And she wouldn't go home when her hubby was injured on his snowmobile. IDK, she may be slightly stupider than DT.

What did they say wrong? Kinda sensitive aren't ya...

I don't know about that. The Republican base is really odd. You really can't apply normal standards of acceptable behavior and thinking in modern civil society to them. It's like dealing with the culture of a really backward and isolated 3rd world banana republic. You have to put aside any semblance of what you find to be acceptable behavior and rhetoric in order to understand them and predict how they will respond to different things. For example, Trump is an international embarrassment too. I suspect even Ivanka is secretly pretty embarrassed by him. But that doesn't keep these people from screaming themselves hoarse with enthusiasm over him. They love the guy. He speaks their language. Sarah Palin is still a big folk hero for much of them too, I am sure. She will likely do very well if that's what she decides to do.

It's still not clear who you're referring to. Could you be more specific?
Picture a moose, classlessly moving up a staircase, with two moderate women doing the same.
