Sarah Palin plans to leave Alaska

https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/407809-sarah-palin-ready-to-leave-alaska

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) says that she and her husband are ready to leave their home in Alaska and “get outside and do more.”

“We were anchored here for the kids. Now our youngest daughter is going to be out of school — she's going to go to nursing school — she'll be taken care of,” Palin said in an interview with the Daily Mail published on Wednesday. “And we're ready to do a lot more.”

“We’re not going to be holed up in Wasilla, Alaska, the rest of our life,” the 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate continued.

I wish her well. She was fun to watch & listen to. 'I can see Russia from my front porch,' etc.

Not sure if bait, or if you really are that taken in.

Speaks volumes she wasn't invited to McCain's funeral.

VOLUMES!!!!

Not really. McCain came across to me as a person in his final stages of life losing his brain to cancer. Which he was.

Nope.. His final decisions about his funeral were done while he was in good health. And then of course his immediate family wasn't ill, and they didn't invite her OR Trump either.

Her biggest contribution was exposing how partisan the women’s rights groups were and how they were udderly nothing more than a political from for liberal democrats.

I never saw Tina Fey in black face making fun of Moochelle Obama.

The problem with Michelle Obama is that she never said anything stupid. Palin was such a rich source of comic material, it's no wonder she got imitated.

'Udderly'? Really?

A black Holstein cow called Moo-chelle.

This kind of thing is why we can't have any intelligent debate here.

Body shaming and race shaming women is juvenile and at the height of bad taste. You should be ashamed.

A lot of liberal women stood up for her

Somebody else was already baited. She didn't say that word for word, but she practically said the same.

She was probably John McCain's biggest mistake of his career. He really opened up Pandora's box by picking her for VP. Before that, of course, we had inklings of the GOP craziness: Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Newt Gingrich, etc... but I never knew that such a vast bulk of the GOP was so backward and ignorant. She really gave voice to them and brought them out into the open. She was like a needle you stick in a boil- and the pus then just keeps oozing out, and oozing out, and oozing out, and it won't stop, and you wonder where all this stuff was before. She really made it clear that the ignorance and backwardness wasn't just a bug in the GOP, it was the main feature.

She was the only thing McCain had going for her. McCain basically was out campaigning for Obama during his presidential campaign.

I wish her well. She was fun to watch & listen to. 'I can see Russia from my front porch,' etc.

*"from land here in Alaska", I believe. (one particular island and on a good day)

No, she said there was a part of Alaska that you can see a part of Russia from. Which, as I understand it, happens to be true. The "I can see Russia from my porch!" Line was Tina Fey.

I know that! McCain's campaign often sited Alaska's closeness to Russia and Canada as some kind of international experience. Palin herself tried to sell it as such. That was, in itself, ridiculous, despite Tina Fey summing it up with that line on SNL. It's funny to watch you guys jump up to point out what Tina Fey, because Palin's own statements and reasoning were just as absurd.

Not really. All the border governors have to deal with international issues, Republican and Democrat.

So what then, if she really said, "I can see Russia from my house," as an argument of international experience, you would stand behind that statement...

It's all kinds of junk male.

If she had said it, at least it would justify the impressive portion of people who believe it

Ok then, I will move the hyphen and call her Mooch-elle to illustrate how she made mooching off the taxpayers for her lavish lifestyle into a fine art.

You do know that she didn't actually say that right? That that phrase is from a skit on SNL?
