There are some people that are just tired of "political correctness" being shoved down their throat. It would likely occur ONCE as a novelty, then interest would wear off. That is unless opponents want to MAKE it interesting.

It was the 1600s, actually. If people did hook up like that back then, they would likely have been accused of witchcraft themselves. Besides that, hooking up is not meant to be romantic, it's supposed to be wham-bam-thank you-ma'am.

You know that's one place where you, I and many others can have common ground. Not worrying about dressing up as as Tonto or in blackface at Halloween is one thing. Calling LBGTQ advocates, "the Gaystapo" is another.
