Do you remember all of that chin wagging from the BUS DRIVERS TO UTOPIA that Romney was going to help set things right America, that he is just the ticket to clean up after Trump? Apparently WE THE PEOPLE have other ideas. This has some interesting parallels to Obama telling Merkel that she has to save the free would now because the American people elected Trump, then Merkel soon after ran into the buzzsaw of the voters, just barely surviving in a much weakened state.

This is a very good comparison. Mitt got too big for his knickers after self appointing himself America's moral compass. Poor Mittens having to go through the primaries like ordinary folk. This is just what he needs to be taken down to size.

You know that might be right, this might be about the people of Utah making the point that he needs to prove himself like anybody else, that you cant just blow in and be their Senator just because you decide you want to be, this is not New York.

That is to say that Romney made a political mistake because he does not adequately understand the state, which has to make you wonder if he is such a sure thing in the primary as he is believed to be.

I expected this joke of a politician to have the good grace/sense to shut-up and go-away,. He had his chance and got beat up
by Candy Crowely and the BO. He would not fight for the Nation, us, or himself. Gutless POS.

Romney couldn't even stand up to Candy Crowley in the 2nd debate. He would just be a butt kisser to Chuck Schumer
as a Senator, We don't need him in the Senate, anyone but Romney for 2018

Romney should run as a democrat where he would fit in perfectly. Don’t worry left-wingers
I'm sure if he's elected, he'll VOTE as a Democrat in the Senate… And if, Romney doesn't receive
the nomination, then he will work behind the scenes to help the Democrat candidate win.
Eventually Romney will run out of states willing to support his political ambitions.

This convention usually is packed with people who are hard right, and uncompromising, and the prmaries have many more people who are more central. It's very typical.

Candy Crowley should have kept her damned opinions to herself. She was supposed to be a moderator, not picking sides, which she obviously did. Its obvious by your comment about getting beat by her, that wasn't her job at all.

In 2012? Yes they did. They accepted their losses and retooled. But they retooled in a way that sought tactical victories while waking up the silent majority from their silence.

You're correct about that, but though it wasn't her place to help Obama, Romney didn't have to take it lying down
like a beaten dog.

I wouldn't count Romney out yet. and while he has RINO tendencies, claiming he's stupid is the height of silliness. The last person who ran on a major party ticket who is as smart as Romney is GHWB.
