Drone Blowback in Pakistan is a Myth [W:24, 57]

The extreme groups in Syria are not those we support. Our allies make their own choices in keeping with their own interests as they see them.

Plausible deniability doesn't really cut it with me Jack.................. Saudi is the biggest funder, supporter enabler of radical islamists groups around the globe. 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis.

If you were against radical Islam and the nutters it spawns ,wouldn't be in bed with the Saudis

Nothing wrong with looking him up ( I would have ) but we have different views on what's radical. History is a series of events that involve facts , how we interpret them is what differs. As the prevailing elite narrative will be the dominant one certain facts that question it will be left out or skirted around/dumbed down.

I wonder how many people know that the bombings were the cause of the major crisis not the response to it. Or how many know that there was no genocide ? Or that the NATO attack was actually illegal etc etc

And as I have said before on many occasions , you being an American , are not in a position to bemoan others over war crimes. The attack on Serbia was a war crime

You should read this article to see a sample of what was left out of the narrative

https://chomsky.info/200005__/

or on the " genocide "

Despite Tales, the War in Kosovo Was Savage, but Wasn't Genocide - WSJ

Chomsky was horrifically wrong on Cambodia. Sorry, but he doesn't hold much weight in my book.

The Serbs were killing every Muslim they could catch. That's genocide in my book.

The attack on Serbia was not a war crime; it prevented the continuation of a number of actual legitimate war crimes.

You seek propagandists among a profession that prizes freedom.

Nope I seek parity.

If a place is on its arse because it has a left leaning leadership it is always used as a club with which to beat it , the same cannot be said about countries that endure chronic poverty under, the misnomer , free trade policies/neoliberal captalism.

They will only be as free as the editors and owners allow them

It's quite a bit more complicated than that. The Saudis are powerful and effective allies against Islamic terrorists. They are also vigorous supporters of their brand of Islam.

I disagree. I think capitalism gets blamed as often as any other -ism.

Not true. Too many other writers disagree with your claim.

I'm not happy or proud of it, but WE are the bad guys in Syria.

I'm aware of that affair and I don't think the criticism of him ( and Herman ) is justified.

Correcting someone who misquoted casualty figures when reviewing someone elses book is not " genocide denial ".

Once again I can't help but think you will still believe the 2 million figure even though that figure never held any credence and subsequent scholarship/intelligence gives a much lower figure.

My guess is you just don't like him because of his views on American foreign policy/government and the Cambodian affair gives you a kind of justification

The Serbs were killing every Muslim they could catch. That's genocide in my book.

There's no evidence to support your claim. I gave you an article that cited numerous studies and a newspaper story that spelled out why it wasn't " genocide " with supporting evidence

So " your book " is denying the facts on this and on Chomsky's Cambodian dispute.

So much for objectivity

The attack on Serbia was not a war crime;

I think you'll find that it was

it prevented the continuation of a number of actual legitimate war crimes.

Nope , it helped precipitate them as the KLA and the anti Serbian lobby had wished

Wrong. The groups we support have to make their own choices on a complex and difficult battlefield.
