I was searching for Bloomberg's views on weed and came across this:

"Yeah, right, medical, come on," said Bloomberg. "There's no medical. This is one of the great hoaxes of all times."

The mayor has admitted to smoking weed in the past, and enjoying it, but that was a long time ago.

"The bottom line is, I'm told marijuana is much stronger today than it was 20 or 30 years ago," [Bloomberg said].

Bloomberg's opposition to medical and recreational marijuana is two-fold: first, his belief that the drug is stronger now.

"And number two, drug dealers have families to feed," he said. "If they can't sell marijuana, they'll sell something else. And the something else is gonna be worse. And, the push to legalize this is just wrongheaded."

First, he doesn't believe that MJ has any medical benefits, which is completely false.

Second is the absurd argument that legalizing weed would force weed dealers to sell harder drugs, which sounds like some sort of gateway theory for drug dealers.

This is a great example of a smart person believing something incredibly stupid due to his dumb prejudices.

sounds like a poster who wants legalized weed to me.

Clearly you haven't been stalking my posting history closely enough, but by all means carry on with your self-serving delusions.

If Bloomberg is saying that "medical" is way over-hyped and over-used by the pot-heads to promote pot, he's right. The "medical marijuana" dispensaries around here were literally filled with high-monsters.

Hey, I'm pretty libertarian on this. I want drugs decriminalized. I want those American that suffer from maladies to have access to whatever they believe they may need to help themselves. And I do realize pot does have legit therapeutic use. But that therapeutic use is far too often over-hyped by the recreational pot heads. The good thing is pot is becoming widely decriminalized, so there's no longer the need for recreational users to play the "medical use" charade when they may be otherwise fine.

Let’s all notice that Bloomberg and his supporters will back Sanders if they have to, but not vice-versa.

The long knives are out for Bloomberg from trump and Bernie OP’s. This one’s from the guy named ‘aociswundumho’.

Keeping in mind that AOC is a strong Bernie supporter, don’t expect Bernie supporters to attack the OP.

Bernie supporters would rather attack the guy (Bloomberg) who is building the digital apparatus to compete with that of Brad Parscale and the RNC, for WHOEVER the Democratic nominee is.

There's a lot in this post I like, Link. I've already had one family member jump to Bloomberg early-on, and I'm starting to do so myself!

OP is 7 years old.

Problem solved:

Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg said last year that legalizing marijuana is “perhaps the stupidest thing anybody has ever done.” But now that he’s on the 2020 campaign trail vying for the nomination of a party whose voters overwhelmingly back ending prohibition, the former New York City mayor says that it’s the incarceration of people for cannabis that is truly “dumb.”

The latest comment came in response to Denver reporter who asked: “Are the people of Colorado stupid for legalizing it?”

Bloomberg, who continues to oppose broad marijuana legalization but now backs simple decriminalization of cannabis possession, replied that “we shouldn’t put anybody in jail over it.”

“Colorado has a right to do what they want to do,” he told local NBC affiliate KUSA on Saturday. “I would advise going slowly to any other state because it’s not clear, doctors aren’t sure whether or not it’s doing damage. But if a state wants to do it, and Colorado and Washington were the first two that did it, that’s up to the state.

“But what I really object to is putting people in jail for marijuana,” Bloomberg added. “That’s really dumb.”

Federal decriminalization is fine for now. We have bigger issues.

Bloomberg's stance is not that the execution is poor or that the medical benefits are exaggerated; he thinks it's a fraud entirely, and he's clearly, 100% wrong, besides being wrong about opposing recreational legalization for a patently absurd reason.

I’m not saying I’ll be voting for Bloomberg on 3/17 in the Illinois primary. I am saying that I love Bloomberg residing in trump’s head and doing what no other Democrat/one Indie are able to do or willing to do; trash trump with hundreds of millions in ads. Besides that, he is BUILDING THE DIGITAL APPARATUS for who the nominee will be, even Sanders.

How stupid is the lame regressive left that they want to ignore the law called Citizens United when trumpublicans are pounding us with it. The DNC is broke while the RNC is awash with money. However, INDIVIDUAL Democratic candidates are well ahead of their gop opponents in down-ballot races.

Bloomberg is probably right on both counts but I am not sure this is an issue that will either help or hurt him.

Anyway, I still suspect most of the hit pieces against Bloomberg are originating from within the DNC's hairy legged manly men caucus.

Bloomberg is not a smart person he's a complete idiot. He wants to ban guns and while I don't really care much about whether or not Marijuana is legal, his arguments against legalizing it are completely stupid.
