Carl's Jr to be first U.S. fast food chain to sell CBD-laced burger - Reuters

(Reuters) - Carl’s Jr will become the first fast food chain to sell a CBD-infused hamburger when its “Rocky Mountain High Cheeseburger Delight” goes on sale in Denver on Saturday, the company said.

The Tennessee-based chain is selling the burger for just one day at one location in northeast Denver as part of its strategy to test out “bold and unexpected” flavors, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

'The burger has a “Santa Fe Sauce” infused with hemp-based CBD-oil, the non-psychoactive component of cannabis that can promote calmness and relaxation, but will not get you high.'

No coincidence that pot is legal in cO.

CBD doesn't taste like weed. It costs a ton. The amount that could be added without seriously impacting profit is negligible. As a treatment, it's front loaded and long term.

An odd way to refer to a chain that is only on the west coast and southwest

Carl's Jr is Hardees in other places. It's the same thing like Toyota and Lexus or Nissan and Infinity.

If this is the case, the point is lost on me.............

one of the effects of CBD is actually appetite reduction, as well. it's literally perfect for food.

There are a lot of other positive effects and medical uses. My entire family (Mom, dad, brother, me) all use CBD daily for various reasons. Helps dramatically against depression, for one and helps against anxiety and agitation.

Gross. Who the hell asked for this?

Do you think it is just a gimmick just to draw attention to their franchise? I'd be worried to order the wrong one, and too relaxed while driving.

It's a gimmick. 30ml of high concentration CBD (golf ball size amount) costs over $100. Let's say they add $.05 worth to each burger's sauce. That's not noticeable.

Medicine is front loaded (heavier dosage at start) when it takes a bit in the system for consistent effects to kick in. One then lowers the dosage once effects are realized. Even if one had already front loaded and was on a regimen, there's no way $.05 worth of CBD is noticed at all.
