Technology helps San Francisco erase 8,000 pot convictions

There are lots of created things that are not for our use. Think snake venom. Think opium (at least for the healthy).

:doh :doh :doh

Er, the snakes "use" the venom. We dont use elephants' trunks or giraffes' necks either

And anything can be abused, even water. Opioids definitely have a positive use.

That was just shown as allegedly happening, in the doomed LAPA flight cockpit, recently, in an Episode of "Air Disasters" on the Smithsonian Channel!

Air Disasters: Deadly Discussions | Smithsonian Channel

Allegedly the voice recorder caught the pilot and copilot and a flight attendant having a discussion of their personal lives, love lives, all while smoking and distractedly going over the preflight checklist.

The conclusion of the show was that the gross and deadly broach of "clean cockpit" or "sterile cockpit" (?) procedures lead to the sloppy checklist process resulting in their failing to set the flaps for take off and more the pilot and co pilot appeared to be unaware what the warning light and buzzer was indicating that came on almost immediately as they initiated their take off roll. Had they recognized that there was still a chance to possibly deploy flaps to save the jet.

Hope that helps!
Thanks, LouC. Yeah, that sems to be what I found. But it's a far cry from Marke's claim that they were high on pot.

Mr. Marke is a Trump supporting alternative fact promoter.

He lives for the Right Wing conspiracy theory, or the Right Wing myth, or lacking those it appears he does as Obese Donald does and just makes stuff up on the fly.

I am certain his intentions are good, but his applications are for crap.

Well, right now he's living for something other than DP; he got temp'd.

I'm glad drug use is still banned on construction sites where I work. I will never forget the 1999 Buenos Aires plane crash due to pilot error after the two pilots and a flight attendant illegally smoked dope in the cockpit just before takeoff. If they had not died in the crash then maybe they could have been freed from prison under new pot laws.

Sorry, but your cited does not back up your point.

Nothing in the Wiki suggests ANY drug or alcohol use. As a pilot, I am familiar with NTSB accident investigations. There is almost always a toxicology report. Though this is not the NTSB, its pretty likely the accident investigation team followed the same protocol. If drugs or alcohol were involved, it would have been mentioned in the contributing factors. It was not. Therefore, its a pretty safe bet that no drugs and alcohol were involved.

So, you can forget about this 1999 accident as being some type of argument against the legalization of pot.

BTW. Thank you for TRYING to back up your claim with 3rd party evidence. I always appreciate those that try to do this. I appreciate even more, however, those that actually produce 3rd party evidence that DOES back up the posters assertions. You fell short there.
