Smoking cannabis DOES make people more violent

The latest study by five researchers from institutes based in Montreal, Canada, examined the lives of 1,136 men and women who were patients at psychiatric hospitals in Missouri, Pittsburgh and Massachusetts.

Records were gathered from interviews carried out every ten weeks for a year after their discharge.

They've interviewed people with existing psychosis 5 times, and found psychoactive drugs can exacerbate their symptoms. That's neither revelatory nor applicable to the general population.

I cant speak for how it makes me feel as I have never used it.....but I have seen pot users turn violent on a bag of Doritos and a box of Twinkies....total mayhem and destruction.

Not so much as a single chip survived.....

I found the study and it is specific to cannabis use for individuals with mental disorders.
The study mentions that the use of substances are known to exacerbate mental issues but little work has been done on the use of cannabis by mental patients.

Did I miss read that article or did it seem to make some wide connection that cannabis use causes violence? No wonder I had to Google the article rather than it being linked in the article.

It's like a marriage nobody is forcing you to marry a gay person. Nobody is forcing you to smoke pot. They say pot is a hallucinogenic, but I don't know one person who ever hallucinated on weed. Not one. Users say it helps them with all kinds of things. You don't snow so you would know. There is not much science on this. But some of the sign says it where pot is legal there is less alcohol and opioid use. And people do die from those. You could say it's the lesser of two evils.

I have a study that shows 100% of murderers, rapists and other violent criminals breathed air for years before committing their acts of violence. Clearly based on this study breathing has a link to people committing acts of violence. The same study indicates, that those who do not breath air either never committed acts of violence or stopped committing acts of violence after they stopped breathing air
