Yes, this is a bad thing. Sadly there are similar examples from other jurisdictions around the country, including the federal level and the FBI lab.

Such behavior was rampant in the Steven Avery case.

IMO, the corrupt lab tech should be thrown in jail. And, all those who were wrongfully convicted need to be scheduled for a new trial.
