Minneapolis police shootings since 2000: A deeper look at who and where - StarTribune.com
Of the 30 people killed by officers since the year 2000 in Minneapolis, 10 were carrying firearms, five had bladed weapons, four were in cars and one had a pellet gun. (As of 2018)

So where is all the death and mayhem at the hands of police? Largely in their heads. One guy was killed by a rogue cop, and everyone joins party.

Chicago for example is hardly a mecca of tranquility between cops and robbers:

Cops, at least in Chicago anyway are not killing anyone left and right.

“Rogue cop” kills subdued subject while three colleagues stand-by. Someone put a stopwatch on the knee/neck contact, it continued over two minutes after the subject had stopped responding. What happens when there are no cameras?

Jackass? That just shouts gravitas!

So 2 out of 3 people killed by the cops were armed.
Like Meatloaf said, "2 out of 3 ain't bad!"

I feel for Mr. Floyd's family but these looters have ignored them completely in the name of stealing progress

The police have a brutal job! The vast majority are good people. They probably hate the killer of Floyd more than black people do.

My nephew just became a police officer. I was shocked how much vetting they did prior to hiring him. They literally came onto the block were he lived and interviewed neighbors about him. He said the training was intense and very detailed. Unfortunately, these guy's are sometimes put into impossible situations and have to make split second decisions. The Minnesota police failed but way more of these guy's do it right.

And just like the corona virus is a hoax so is cops killing black folks for basically no reason. Even with video showing the cop murdering this guy some still try to defend the cops.

I don't think it matters than only a few people are killed by negligence. I think the more important issue is whether or not people trust that the officers who do commit atrocities will be subject to the same laws as everyone else. If I only kill someone every now and then I should still be subject to the law.

I know most cops do get arrested when they break the laws they are supposed to protect, but I also seem to remember two officers getting away with raping an barely legal teenager in NY. The sperm literally tested positive, but at least she was 18 so it was probably just consensual, never mind that it's illegal for them to just f*ck people while on duty.

Some cops are held accountable, but that doesn't make it okay when example after example of cops getting away with crime keep popping up. Whether it's murder or parking in the handicap zone, officers shouldn't be above the law they enforce.

But thank goodness only a few cops are killing innocent people!

I'm saying that if you listen to the race industry it looks like cops are killing them left and right. I'm calling BS on that. You say "... cops killing black folds for basically no reason. The statistics don't bear that out. IOW, you are wrong about that. Chicago 2019 12 shootings, 6 fatal. Gangland central, the perfect democrat future.

As far as getting hassled by the cops, that Floyd guy was trying to pass counterfeit money, so he brought that encounter with the cops on himself even though his death was inexcusable due to incompetence and a general lack of respect for life. Suppose the store where he tried to pass the counterfeit bill took it, they are stuck with a $20 loss, just like shoplifting.

The cops do the dirty work that we won't do - police and arrest in order to keep law abiding people save from those who aren't.
