Why Do Democrats Not Trust (Even Their Own) Voters?

Why do Democrats mistrust voters? Note that there exists zero doubt that they do. But why? After spending the better part of four years attempting to undo what the voters in 30 of 50 states clearly wished, they are back at it again attempting to taint and corrupt even their own party’s primary process to create an outcome they believe would be better. But “who” is the “they” we refer to? And who pulls the trigger on such things? When Democrats pursued “Russia collusion” they did so with a foundation of “evidence” that was debunked nearly as quickly as it was assembled. Yet someone believed it would be great to spend the better part of three years attempting to con the American people. Not satisfied with that embarrassment someone else began running with the impeachment meme. But doing so on an even flimsier foundation. Thankfully that partisan sham of a process is exiting stage left. For some reason, some people somewhere believed that instead of running against the administration with a set of ideas it would be better to merely repudiate the votes of the last election and through trickery attempt surgical removal of a president who was legally and overwhelmingly elected. The vote of the people—in essence—means nothing to them.
They’ve tried every dishonest means in the book to wield this obsession against the president. And now they willingly seek to massacre their own candidates and supporters in their crazed manic attempts to do so. Contrast that with the claim of “promises made, promises kept.” That contrast is the genuine choice this November and it is vital that we the people choose wisely!

in all fairness the Republican party also has a LONG history of not trusting its base either. Election after election, they would lie to us about what they would do if elected and then never even really try. Trump is the first president of my lifetime that is actually trying to do what he said he would. In many aspects he has achieved those goals.
Both Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff the core of the Progressive Marxist Socialist/DSA Democrats have claimed that the selection of who is to be President is too important to leave to the will of the voters. Voters must be reminded that a vote for the Democrat in *any* house seat is a vote for those who would negate the vote in order to install the dictator of the Progressive Marxist Socialist Democrat leaderships' choice. We've seen that in the elections of AOC, Omar, Waters, etc.....
The pushback against Bernie is not because of his policies. It is because he is truthful and open about what the PMS/DSA Democrat party seeks. Most Democrat political leaders know that Marxist Socialism is about as popular as herpes, so mask it and lie about their intentions as much as they can.

Just as their Russian brethren, it's the DNC that count the votes in their corrupt party. We've seen it in America when close elections are disputed and suddenly votes are found to give the Democrat the win.... i.e., Al Franken and others....
PMS/DSA Democrats have always thought they were superior to the "Common" man. However, the election of President Trump has brought their prejudices and ideology in the open.

After the chaos and disinformation spread on Fox and on social media by Russian trolls in 2015, there are few democrats who trust that the 2020 election will be any different. That's why we do not trust Trump, Russia, the GOP or any foreign country they could buy off to get them to help their party win again.

Who in their right mind would give even three minutes of their life much less a full 17 minutes to some blonde talking head that has a YouTube channel, someone that nobody knows about or cares about and means absolutely nothing? Since Trump would be replaced by Pence, a conviction ofTrump would not, technically, overturn the election, unless you insist the Republican Party is one man. And since that is the case, it's the GOP who don"t trust their voters without a racist demagogue, despite his massive corruption, to rally them.

I see that as a very naive question. No country on earth today has more "interfered" in other countries elections than the USA.

I don't care with "truth" comes from. Every investigative reporter would confirm but for adversaries they wouldn't have any stories. The only thing I regret is that Ukraine did not investigate, since only Ukraine could investigate what happened in Ukraine. So the real question is "so you're cool with our officials money laundering tax dollar bribery money thru the family members?"

The two differences between what Trump did and what Biden did (he claims it was Obama's decision, which I do not believe) is that Biden's motive was personal financial profit. Trump's was not. Biden specifically threatened to withhold money outright. Trump did not. Rather, for Trump, it is only conjecture of people he fired, otherwise lost their job because of Trump or were otherwise part of team Obama.

Trump has been attacked 24/7 ever since before he announced his candidacy. Clearly you are like so many other Democrats that have yet to understand doing so is one of many factors that put him in the White House.

New York multi Billionaire who openly says no one should have a gun, used his money to change New York City law to allow him a prohibited 3rd term, and what's to dictate what you may eat and drink - and how much - spending billions attacking Trump nationwide - and you think that HELPS the Democrat? :lamo

The impeachment and trial was for Bloomberg's benefit. It took all the other candidates out of the spotlight and for the trial most couldn't even campaign - while he bought the spotlight for himself, claiming only he can save earth.

Scorch it, Doc. We are not going with the right-center biased based Rasmussen and Fox and RT, the Russian-GOP outlets. The averages on RCP say it all; Trump sucks.
