MARK LEVIN: What the Democrats have done here will only be stopped and the precedent that is so damning to this country will only be stopped if it is unleashed on them. The next president who's a Democrat must be impeached. They must be investigated over and over again, follow exactly the Schiff-Nadler procedures, the Nancy Pelosi process. It must be done. I know it sounds painful. I had a caller say to me the other day when I said that it was disingenuous, that it shows that we're no better than them. No, that's wrong. It shows we must defeat this internal Fifth Column enemy. And they must understand that we have the willingness to do it so they don't pull this again because otherwise, this is the precedent set in place now. Republicans will be rollovers for the rest of their time and Democrats will be bulldogs. We can't allow that.

That sounds like Levin. He's your basic bunker buddy. The problem is that he's also an extremely good lawyer and knows his ****.

Yeah, his show is on my listening rotation on my drive home. When he’s talking about the law and Constitution he’s very knowledgeable and interesting. As soon as he starts throwing grenades I change channels.

Everything the Democrats are doing now, the Republicans did in 1998.

The Republicans impeached Clinton for perjury about a sexual affair, which had nothing to do with his duties as President. They didn't care that 65% of the public didn't agree that the offense met the bar for an impeachment, they went full steam ahead on a party line vote in the Judiciary and on the House floor, because they could.

If lying about sex in a civil suit is impeachable, then using the influence and powers of the presidency to secretly push a foreign government to investigate your electoral competition, then blocking Congress from seeing any documents or hearing from any witnesses DAMN SURE is.

This is simply Republican hardball turned on its head. Enjoy it.

So, there would be a plethora of famous cases that he's won that anyone could look up in a reference source of some kind?
Perhaps you could name a couple of landmark legal decisions with Levin's name all over them.

First thing I saw is he worked for convicted felon Edwin Meese and he's associated with Ken Starr.
Not exactly what I would call a beacon of virtue.

This is fun! Maybe for the next five minutes...YAWN.

No, Levin is right. The next Democrat president must be put through impeachment exactly as done so far. The reason is that the Dems need to know with certainty it will happen to them every time they try this bull crap. Bullys need to be punched in the face and kicked in the balls. The Democrats are being bully's right now.
 
Republicans were already planning to impeach Clinton in 2017.

That was the premise behind what Levin said... Republicans must impeach the next democrat president, that way the democrats won't try this frivolous impeachment crap again.

It makes sense, but I just can't see republicans sinking to the democrats level, even if it's designed to prevent this crap from happening again.

I prefer NO president ever gets impeached because it makes the US look bad BUT . . . .

I welcome impeachment inquiries and articles of impeachment against ANY president wheres there's reason to do so just like there is right now and the majority of americans support it. Also no matter who the next president is, if theres reasons to do so just like now and the majority of americans support it have at it! LMAO If theres not its only gonna make whoever is trying to do it look bad and totally expose them to honest, educated objective people :shrug:

I can and have seen it...in 1998 when republicans impeached Clinton.

If Trump wins re-election I wouldn't be surprised if he got impeached again for corruption and cheating to win the election.

No the Dems are the bullies. They never stopped pushing from the 2016 campaign. They call everyone that doesn't agree with them stupid. And they wonder why people think they are insane.

Trump never stopped campaigning, either. If Dems call some people stupid it's probably because they say stupid things like, "Trump is innocent" or "the DNC hacked their own server and hid it in Ukraine" or "VP Biden was laundering money" or 'Ukraine interfered in the US election, not Russia"...."the next democrat president must get impeached"...etc.

People don't wonder about right wing insanity anymore...they just take it as a given.

The last time there was an impeachment of a president was done by the Republicans to Clinton, a Democrat, over lying about sex. He avoided being removed from office.

Before that, technically it wasn't impeachment because Nixon resigned and the GOP had Ford pardon Nixon. Nixon would have faced one count of abuse of power for obstruction in the Watergate break in, the criminal act. Second, was the abuse of power, not a criminal act but still impeachable. Third was in contempt of Congress, again, not criminal but still an imeachable offense.

Before that was Andrew Johnson, Lincoln's Democrat running mate and VP for 11 counts. Not going to list all 11, but wanted to note that one of the articles stacked against him was...insulting Congress. He escaped removal by one vote. For those who want to impeach immediately if a Democrat gets elected, I suggest you read your history.

This does NOT happen all the time and out of the three previous attemtps, two were started by the GOP. With one impeachment gathering GOP support before Nixon resigned. Not only that, but many of the articles were NOT criminal in nature. And none were removed from office by Congress...Nixon removed himself.

So, please calm down. Go to your library, Read books. Don't listen to Levin or watch pundits online or TV. Get some real history text books, written by real historians and get yourself educated. In fact, might I suggest that if you do, you find credible historians like Doris Kearns Goodwin who are conservatives. You may not like what you read, but it will a lot more closer to truth than Levin is willing to get to.

He is exactly right. This is precisely how Republicans finally managed to eliminate the partisan Independent Counsel position Democrats created in 1968 in order to impeach Nixon. The Republicans used it to impeach Clinton and suddenly, after 42 years, the law authorizing an Independent Counsel is allowed to sunset into oblivion.

The House can impeach any President they want. All it takes is a simple majority. Since the impeachment process is entirely political and not criminal, they don't need evidence, or due process, or even a law being violated. If the House wanted to impeach a President because he was ugly - THEY CAN! However, that doesn't mean they should.

Democrats have a very difficult time comprehending the concept of Karma. After their criminal ridden enterprise with Obama they still haven't grasped that Trump was in direct response to those illegal activities. The complete dismantling of Obama's so-called legacy is why Trump was elected. Trump was elected to be the Karma the Democrats deserve.

So when the next Democrat President is elected and the Republicans control the majority in the House they should immediately begin an Impeachment Inquiry on the Democrat President's inauguration day, followed by an Impeachment Hearing, and an Impeachment vote. It doesn't matter who it is, or what they have done, simply make being elected as a Democrat an impeachable offense.

You should have given this information and advice to Pelosi. You are obviously too late now. Once again Democrats will have to be taught that "what goes around eventually comes back around" by beginning impeachment proceedings immediately upon the inauguration day of any Democrat President.
 
When Obama was president Levin said when Obama traveled alone he did it so he could cheat on his wife. He had no evidence, no facts, no proof.. He just threw it out there for his drooling listeners.

That's the type of person Levin is, that's what Indy's and Dems have to deal with from the liars and traitors on the Con media. And Levin and Hannity and Fox and Friends are the people the current president is listening to and running the country using their advice. The country NEEDS Trump gone, the sooner then better.
