You might have missed the ISIS genocide of Christians, Shiites and Yazidis in Iraq-Syria. The media ignored the tens of thousands of victims. Obama was president and they did not want to harm him in any way. IN 2014 VIDEO WAS RELEASED OF ISIS SLAUGHTERING HUNDREDS OF SHIITE YOUTHS IN IRAQ ISIS.
Obama did nothing and media ignored this mass slaughter or told lies to defend ISIS.

CNN, NBC,WAPO, CBS, Politico, etc., the Progressive Marxist Socialist/DSA Democrat Party Left strongly support the mass murder of Christians. The biased propaganda machine never said a word when OBAMA sent these Christians back to there deaths. Obama also refused both Coptic Christians and Yazidis asylum status for persecution. Trump stops economic migrants and gets a boatload of crap about his "inhumanity". Obama REFUSED legitimate persecuted minorities asylum. Both groups were slaughtered by the thousands or sold into slavery and Obama DID NOTHING. How the hell did he ever win the Nobel Prize for Peace?
Obama and his fellow sycophant PMS/DSA Dem followers spent YEARS denying the threat of ISIS and now removing 50 of our troops back from the border is a heinous act. Few people realize that secular Syria had the second largest Christian community in the Middle East, that was also perhaps the oldest with even Aramaic still being spoken in isolated parts. Secular Syria had the so called "Diversity" that mentally insane PMS/DSA Leftists claim to worship.
Our former administration criminal enemies who gave us the, Refugee crisis/invasion, wanted to destroy secular Syria, who if the Orwellian War On Terror was genuine, Syria, Hezbollah, Iran, and the Houthis would be our allies.
There was some very serious documented evidence on this very event and I remember how moved I was by the murder of so many Christian Syrians and other innocents destroyed by ISIS. ISIS was aided by the Obama administration both in training and logistics, because they randomly supported anyone other than Assad. Assad always protected the Christian. ISIS plundered and murdered an entire ancient Christian villages and the media and Obama didn't bat an eye, while covering the reasons for the Benghazi attack and shipments of captured Libyan to ISIS.

This isn't new. All that's new is the magic trick Trump pulled off. Making Dove into Hawk by saying our troops need to be home.

The reality is that Assad punked Obama. The administration never counted on Syria supporting a group trying to overthrow it in order to make the US have to decide between him or them. Once outfoxed, Obama kicked the can down the road for the next administration to have to deal with. He basically voted "Present" once the tough decisions needed to be made.

This is perhaps among the more spectacular double standards between the media's coverage of Trump and Obama.
Obama got an 'atta boy" for being an ideologue. Trump gets excoriated for actually bothering to deal realistically and consistently with geopolitics.
