Frank Luntz and Grover Norquist.
Luntz has been the audible version of a Ministry of Truth for almost a decade of Rethuglican NewSpeak, things like "unplugging grandma, death panels and government takeover of healthcare", among other gems, and Grover Norquist leveraged his taxpayer focus groups almost into a defacto unappointed cabinet post during the Tea Party era.

Yes, don't try to weasel out of this one, you partisans LOVE populist focus groups, except when they don't favor your fearless leader. Naturally, like any focus group OR poll, there's always a margin of error.

Some fraction of "NOT A SINGLE ONE" actually WILL vote for Trump.

By the way, I realize that there is a huge difference between polls and focus groups. Remind me what those differences are again? Something about the difference between mayo and salad dressing, or Hardee's and Carl's Jr., or Plymouth Valiant and a Dodge Dart.

Statisticians make considerable effort to collect study groups that reflect the population, ie that the biases average out the same.

What CNN did is the opposite. They chose a group that is starkly different than the population, but presented it as representative.

Hunter Biden is walking away from the board of a Chinese-backed private equity company as part of a public pledge to disavow all foreign work if his father, former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, gains the presidency in 2020. Joe Biden’s second son made his move after a month of pushing by U.S. President Donald Trump who has publicly highlighted the perceived – and real – conflicts of interest represented by Biden’s work in Asia. A statement released on his behalf by his legal counsel George Mesires said his relationship with the management company of a private equity fund that’s backed by Chinese state-owned entities will end within weeks. The 49-year-old doesn’t state whether he will be divesting from BHR (Shanghai) Equity Investment Fund Management Company. The company was set up in 2013 to invest Chinese capital outside of China.
Instead the young Biden pledged he wouldn’t work for any foreign-owned companies or serve on their boards during a potential Biden administration.

Without public exposure by President Trump, investigative reporter, Peter Schweizer, Breitbart, etc., the fake news media would have completely ignored this scandal and Hunter wouldn’t have felt the heat or faced any consequences. Contrast this story with how they went after Eric Trump for raising money for St. Jude to fight children’s cancer. If Hunter and Joe Biden are the moral truth angels of the Democrat Party they portray themselves to be, they would immediately return the $1.5 billion to China and ALL the money they got from the Ukraine. Are they the moral and ethical men they tell us they are? No, quite the opposite. Demonstrably they are crooks as President Trump has described them.
Hmm...., stepping down from doing nothing is not difficult. So Hunter takes his name off the list. Big whoop. He’s got the money and may still continue to get more.

Why would honest Hunter Biden step away from a perfectly appropriate appointment to a Chinese board? Answer, he wouldn't.
