Terrorist who attacked New Zealand mosque said China is closest to his political and social values
March 15, 2019 | Opindia Staff ~~ The manifesto was uploaded on document sharing website Scribd by Matthew Keys, an independent journalist based in San Francisco, but the document was later removed. In a dastardly attack, multiple people have been killed and injured in two New Zealand mosques as 2 terrorists opened fire. The terrorists have reportedly killed up to 40 people and all mosques in New Zealand have been closed down. The mass shootings have taken place one at the Al Noor Mosque next to Hagley Park, and another at the Linwood Mosque in the suburb of Linwood, Radio New Zealand reports.
New Zealand Herald reported Christchurch mosque shootings: Gunman livestreamed 17 minutes of shooting terror - NZ Herald that one of the terrorists identified himself as “Brenton Tarrant” -- a white, 28-year-old Australian-born man and live-streamed the shooting for 17 minutes by the terrorist. New Zealand police said it was working to have the footage removed from social media.
While several ghastly videos have emerged of the terrorist live-streaming the mass shooting, news has also emerged that the terrorist had published a lengthy over 70-page manifesto online where he detailed his ideology and views. The manifesto was created on January 21st and was updated yesterday before the shooting took place.

Some have compared this terrorist to Ted (Unabomber) Kazynski that was very far left, who critiqued his own. He was an ELF (Earth First), radicalized. NZ terrorist was a combo, but more striking to me is his fascist far left beliefs which combined with far right (population control, environment control through fascism). Very similar, except Kazynski is literally a genius IQ. There is a point where the left meets the right and they agree.
On the other hand, "islamophobia" is a neologism popularized by Islamists? Considering the fact that Quran has verses demonizing polytheists and idolaters, Islam itself is pretty Hindu phobic, don't you think? Or do you want to suggest any alternative word to describe the kuffar hatred in your religion? Perhaps Kuffarophobia? Also can you qualify fear towards a hateful ideology as phobia? Because as you know phobia means irrational fear.

The right wing absolutely hates it when a mass killer is a right winger. They go overboard clinging to scraps of fiction while excluding all else that may say otherwise.

The manifesto that he left behind shown the mass murderer was a hateful bigot and white supremacist. The last time I checked, such people were of the far right wing.

Yes he had all sorts of ideas on how government should be run and the economy and the environment. But he didn't put on a Che Guevara T-shirt and a Mao cap and kill some bankers. He did not chain himself to a tree or firebomb an animal testing clinic.

He wrote a white supremacist manifesto railing against immigrants and killed a bunch of immigrants. And he cited Trump among his sources of inspiration. That ethno-nationalist side of him is what spurred him to commit this atrocity and while the rest may or may not be helpful to understand his muddled state of mind or eclectic collection of views, his hatred for brown people is clearly the source of his terror attack.

Seems the "shroom" supply is still good.

He was a hateful bigot and an environmentalist, so that makes him left wing.

If you feel that all Muslims are a threat and should be killed, YES, that is Islamophobia and IRRATIONAL. So tell us Doc, do you think all Muslims should die?

He also said stuff like "Subscribe to Pewdiepie!" (a famous youtube blogger) and "I picked New Zealand because its so safe". The guy was a psychopathic terrorist more than anything.

This is false and you can not prove it, why do you make crap like this up

From the last time I checked, white supremacists tend to hate Jews too, which is most certainly not what you would consider right wing in the United States.

Tell that to Robert Bowers. Evangelical Zionists don't entail the entirety of the Right. Check out the Daily Stormed and others who chanted on American streets "Jews Will Not Replace Us!"

Why did they call their rally Unite the Right and not Unite the Left?

Could it be that Fascism is now and always has been a Right Wing political philosophy? Gasp!

Your username is extraordinarily accurate.

Why did they call the rally, "Unite the Right?" Afraid to exercise those neurons?

Why do they have irrational hatred for people of other races? I don't know. Why do you hang onto every word they say?

He also said he was not a fan or supporter of Donald Trump

He said he did not support his policies. I have no idea what specific ones he was referring to, but perhaps you can dig it up in the manifesto. What he was crystal clear on is that he liked Trump's white nationalist rhetoric, or at least the fact the right takes him as a symbol of 'white identity,' as quoted above.

Now let's ask ourselves what Trump has done to earn such adoration from white supremacist nut jobs. Did it start and Birtherism, Mexicans are rapists or s***hole countries. There's a lot to choose from.

Why do they have irrational hatred for people of other races? I don't know. Why do you hang onto every word they say?

I find it utterly revealing that you are unable to answer this question.

Because of the lies of the USA on nine eleven.

So let me get this straight. You think that because some random group of losers uses a few words "Unite the Right" that means they speak for the general right wing political groups of this country? That is absolutely stupid.

His whole quote is
Were/are you a supporter of Donald Trump?
As a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose? Sure. As a policy maker and leader ? Dear god no.

He was a hateful bigot and an environmentalist, so that makes him left wing.

Actually the politics that he took action upon -= right racial supremacy - were right wing.

Is that what I said? Way to restate what I said in a completely inaccurate way. THEY regard themselves as Right Wing, they utterly hate the Left and the Left utterly hates them.

Fascism is Right Wing, Period.

He acted upon his white nationalistic racism - which clearly marks him as right wing.
