So what did Schiff’s staff and Cohen discuss for ten hours before Oversight testimony?

So what did Schiff's staff and Cohen discuss for ten hours before Oversight testimony?
Did Adam Schiff’s staff conduct a deposition with former Trump attorney Michael Cohen — or did they suborn perjury and coach the witness? House Intelligence Committee member Michael Turner (R-OH) wants to know what precisely happened in their ten-hour-plus of meetings with Cohen prior to his testimony last week to three House committees. Cohen had previously pled guilty to lying to Congress and faces a three-year prison sentence, and Republicans want him referred for more falsehoods from his latest testimony as well:
President Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen told House investigators this week that staff for Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., traveled to New York at least four times to meet with him for over 10 hours immediately before last month’s high-profile public testimony, according to two sources familiar with the matter — as Republicans question whether the meetings amounted to coaching a witness. …
If they coached Cohen on this specific testimony, then they could be accused of suborning perjury. We’re still quite a ways away from that yet, but the possibility exists. And it exists because Adam Schiff, Elijah Cummings, and other House Democrats chose to hitch their investigative wagons to a known perjurer and convicted fraudster. The next time Jim Jordan starts off a hearing warning about that choice, perhaps they’ll pay more attention.

~~~~~~
I would be more interested in what testimony he offered as proof of wrong doing (or lack there of) Not hearsay, but actual proof. I suspect he offered non or it would have been leaked by now.
Hmm..., Ten hours of witness tampering, collusion, suborning perjury and Cohen's testimony was still a big fatty nothingburger. Sadly, Schiff won't comply with the request and the MSM by necessity won't even bring it up and is scrambling to bury this.
Meanwhile after all Schitf efforts to coach and suborn perjury, they still can’t keep Cohen's story straight and he lied once again to congress. Dumb and dumber. Cohen has no idea he is being played.
It sort of smacks of Bill Clinton's 'coincidental' meeting with Loretta Lynch including an out-of-media-sight time on a private plane on that Phoenix tarmac doesn't it. Most especially when it was during a particularly sticky time re Hillary's email server and destruction of evidence at a critical time in the campaign. And it wasn't too long after that when Comey testified that Hillary had been interviewed, not under oath but interviewed, and he was convinced her illegal acts were entirely unintentional and nobody would prosecute her so he would not recommend indictment. Maybe entirely innocent but it sure didn't smell good.
Or an entirely unrepentant Donna Brazile, then a CNN correspondent, giving Hillary the debate questions early. No harm, no foul they say, but it sure didn't smell good.
And the Schiff aides meeting for 10 hours with Cohen in advance of his testimony before the House committee. Maybe their explanation is that they wanted to be sure his testimony was worth taking the time and trouble of Congress is true. It could happen.
And pigs can fly.
Piece of Schiff's staff apparently witness tampering.
I thought there was a law against that, not that Democrats ever believe any laws that apply to the common man applies to them, the two tired justice system they've instituted.
It's not an uncommon practice for members of a committee to sit down with a witness they are about to call. Giving them a general list of topics that will be discussed and things like what time to arrive, what entrance to enter, and where to go upon arrival. Much of the time it is done through emails or phone calls. In person it shouldn't take more than an hour. But 4 trips to NYC to meet with Cohen clocking in over 10 hours of one on one time sounds more like coaching the witness. I will not be surprised to hear next week that Shiffty Schiff and his staff are under an ethics investigation.
Meanwhile their star witness is yet again facing perjury charges. Today of Fox News Sunday, A top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee Rep. Katie Hill, D-Calif. told "Fox News Sunday" that she believes the panel's chairman, Rep. Elijah Cummings, will "end up referring" former Trump attorney Michael Cohen to the Department of Justice for a perjury investigation, after numerous contradictions and inconsistencies have surfaced in his public testimony last week or so. Rep. Meadows and Rep. Jordan have already sent a letter to AG Barr listing a number of times Cohen perjured himself yet again.
You want proof of wrongdoing? He DID present that proof!! He showed the checks that Trump wrote him. Everybody knows that receiving checks from somebody you do work for is proof of wrongdoing. If, for example, you write the guy that takes care of your yard a check that's prima facie evidence that you ****ed a porn star, wanted to keep it hidden and told your lawyer to pay the hush money out of his account.
Democrats Spoke to Michael Cohen Four Times Before House Intel Testimony, Lawyer Confirms
And did his staff "suborn perjury and coach the witness" or engage in "witness tampering"? Or are you "just asking questions" as camouflage for the fact that you have absolutely zero reason to assume any such thing?
As Davis said, “It’s completely appropriate, and he would have done the same thing for Republicans had they asked." So why weren't Republicans interested in speaking to Cohen themselves?
Got me. I think that a fair question to be posed to Republicans that could have.
Another good question to ask is about even in Cohen's more recent congressional testimony it appears that he's already lied to congress again.
Hmm. This really does downgrade his believability and trustworthiness rates.
Already been reported that he was lobbying very hard for a White House job, yet in testimony wouldn't admit it.
Yeah, his 'word' doesn't appear to be worth the hot air its made of.
Good luck proving criminal intent on the things he supposedly lied about. As we've been learning for the past two years, the bar for proving perjury is ridiculously high. I also "knew" that Trump engaged in criminal witness tampering against Cohen, until I learned that even his statements didn't quite meet the bar.
In any case, I really don't care what happens to Cohen anymore. He testified against Trump and provided valuable information and documents to AOC, thereby allowing the House to open new lines of investigation into insurance fraud as well as a legitimate reason for demanding Trump's tax returns. Cohen is a scumbag who's served his purpose.
So maybe criminal intent to commit perjury is proven and twenty years is added to his sentence. Whatever. We got what we want.
Don't know what Cohen's official classification is. But during his HoR testimony he was essentially a witness for the prosecution....in this case that equates to the Democrats.
Coaching a witness is pretty standard is courts of law. The litigators are certainly forbidden from telling a witness to lie...but they do coach them on how best to answer in a way that will most favorably serve the interests of the witness. Not sure what all the differences in protocol are between testifying in court versus testifying before Congress.
At the moment Cohen is deep in a mess of trouble. And he knows it is the House Democrats who can make things worse for him...so they are definitely the ones he does not want to piss off. Hence the receptiveness to being coached.
Then they didn't do too good of a job since they've placed Cohen in a position of several counts of perjury based upon his previous testimonies before Congress.
