Actually I don't support interrupting anyone's dinner. Even McConnell's I believe everyone should be able to eat dinner with their dinner in peace. I just think it's funny that Trump, and now posters here, call Democrats angry mobs and accuse them of violence, even though McConnell and his wife were never touched. Meanwhile, Trump praises a North Dakota congressman for body slamming a reporter. Way to support violence. :mrgreen:

Saying Maxine Waters does not have any power is equally silly. She sits in congress and never passes up the opportunity to be in from of a running camera.

What would you say if there was security camera footage of Maxine Waters throwing gasoline on a Republican HQ office and then throwing in a lit match?
How would you spin that?

I predict if you guys lose out in the midterms you are going to get even more nasty and violent and one of you will be killed or seriously hurt.

And it doesn't help when so many Democrats make excuses. What I am hearing now is akin to what I remember watching years ago after the IRA blew up Lord Mountbatten and killed a bunch of people with a bomb at the tower of London (last time I was there, there was a little plaque noting the terrorist attack). I remember IRA sympathizers in the USA like Martin Galvin being interviewed by the press about these murderous attacks and they gave the same sort of responses I am seeing from lefties on this board over the attacks on GOP politicians.

Violence comes from the extremes of both sides. The attack on Republican congressmen on the baseball field was a terrible crime. Nobody supports it. When it comes to body count, though, the right wins hands down. The list is long, Oklahoma City, the Olympic Park, numerous bombings of abortion clinics and murders of providers including Dr Teller, who was gunned down in church. I'm not suggesting that you or anyone else here supports this violence, but if the right wingers here are so concerned about mobs, they need to watch their own side. In this country violence from the left is rare. It happens far more often on the right.

Stop and think a minute. Do you really want politicians, of whatever party to become even more isolated from the public at large? Do you not understand that other people, just as well informed as you, might sincerely hold the view that Democrats might also have a share in "widening the partizan divide"?
