Kavanaugh: What Have We Learned?

https://pjmedia.com/trending/kavanaugh-what-have-we-learned/
So, Brett Kavanaugh is our next Supreme Court justice. It's all over now. What have we learned from the events of the past month?
Speaking only for myself, this debacle has done nothing to change my mind about our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters in the media and the Democratic Party. (And yes, I realize those two things are the same thing.) Here are just a few of my biases that have been confirmed by this whole mess. If you don't know, now ya know:
1. Most of the media is actively working for the Democrats If I had any doubt about this, it was completely erased by the events of the past month. The only way any of it makes sense is if the press is eagerly doing the will of the Democrats.
2. The Democrats have no ideas, no principles, just tactics. If you were under the misapprehension that the Dems were acting on principle, they were more than happy to shatter that illusion. Over and over, at every turn, they insisted that their treatment of Brett Kavanaugh was no different than what those evil Republicans did to Merrick Garland.
3. Dems are angry, vindictive, and violent. Republicans are getting death threats, and now they're even getting ricin in the mail. They're being doxed. Dems are screaming at them in elevators and hounding them whenever they go out in public.

~~~~~~
We have all learned a lot within the last two months, about how morally, spiritually and ethically defunct the elitist Progressive Marxist Socialist/DSA Democratic party is. They've shown that they are in favor of character assassination and mob thought and willingly oppose any due process. Democrats believe their political enemies are guilty until proven innocent. A few Democrat senators actually said, that it was up to Kavanaugh to produce evidence that the charges were false.
We have learned that the Democrats prefer to upend established processes such as Supreme Court nomination processes, by using false accusations, setting off a neutron bomb into the proceedings.
Democrats have shown they favor anarchy and temper tantrums if they don’t get their own way. This process has been very revealing as to the aims and mindset of the Democrats.
Ford's best friend, Monica Lee McLean, former FBI agent, "beach friend, who most likely wrote the letter", was sitting behind Blasey Ford during her testimony.
Post looks like paid propaganda, or worse, unpaid propaganda.
I learned that there are a group of people in this country that does not believe in one of this countries oldest standards. Innocent until proven guilty. They may say they agree with it, but ONLY in a court room. Everywhere else it is guilty until proven innocent.
No, I will NOT name party. I had a vague notion of this prior to the whole Kavanaugh deal. But this Kavanaugh deal brought it to the forefront...in big bold screaming color so bright that even a blind person could have seen it.
I really don't care about what is going through the minds of democrats. I care about what the witnesses and the people who knew Brett have to say. The problem with the current investigation is that people who knew Brett tried and failed to contact the FBI with information about his past and willing to back up his accuser's stories. These claims should have been fairly, thoroughly, and impartially investigated by the FBI.
Seems like you watched the same broadcasts I was watching.
Is it possible than any thinking person still takes pride in being a Democrat?
I can't understand how anyone could.
Join Date/Post Count discrepancy?
The entire package. At least it's in the right forum.
What are we debating? No idea, looks like he needed to make a new thread on Kavanaugh, complete with a large font header, a picture, basically telling people how to think. I don't see any invitation to debate.
Angry democrats, , the minority party has no ideas/principles (lol), violent and angry....as we watched Kavanaugh a federal judge spouting angry conspiracy theories about the Clinton's.
It's just too absurd in general.
This is a stupid article from a stupid conservative opinion site, not in the least a mainstream media outlet. Garbage in -- garbage out.
PJ Media (originally known as Pajamas Media) is an American online media company and operator of a conservative news, opinion and commentary collaborative blog that was founded in 2004. PJ Media was founded by Charles Johnson and Roger L. Simon. Johnson and Simon set out to “challenge the mainstream media with a network of citizen-journalists.” The network was primarily made up of conservatives and libertarians. PJ Media also had a TV channel that shutdown operations on May 11, 2016, after its billionaire majority investor Aubrey Chernick pulled out funds.
PJ Media is privately held by PJ Media, LLC. The website is funded through a combination of online advertising and an online shop to buy products.
Analysis / Bias
In review, PJ Media is a popular conservative news and opinion website that garners 13 million+ page views per month. PJ Media uses moderately loaded emotional language in their articles that favor the right, such as this: Suspended Pentagon Whistleblower Says FBI’s Russia Probe Was ‘All a Set-Up’. When it comes to sourcing of information, they usually use credible right leaning media sources. In general, almost all stories reviewed favored the right and denigrated the left through wording and story selection.
Who are the people you are referencing?
Do you have a link?
By all reports, literally hundreds of Kavanaugh's friends and co-workers have documented their support of and respect for Kavanaugh.
On the other hand, NOBODY named by Ford as a witness has stepped forward to lend her support.
Also, Ford's story was changing right up to her testimony. I don't know if the story she tells continues to evolve today or if it had evolved during the hearing to become a version with which she is satisfied.
As I listened to her testimony, and noted the parts missing, it occurred to me that she was remembering these events in the same way that I remember dreams.
No real context. No beginning middle or end- just some main idea couched in a foggy recollection of undefined details.
<snip>
First, Ford’s testimony that the assault occurred in the summer of 1982, when just 15, conflicted with both her therapist’s notes and the text message Ford sent to the Washington Post. According to reporter Emma Brown, Ford claimed she had been assaulted in the mid-1980s; and the therapist’s notes stated Ford had been the victim of an attempted rape in her late teens. But by that time, Kavanaugh was attending Yale, so Ford’s recasting of the attack to the summer of 1982 is suspect.
<snip>
Later, in her July letter to Sen. Dianne Feinstein, Ford again placed the number of individuals at the party at five, stating the gathering included her and four other individuals. But Ford then identified the four by name, and that group included three boys and one girl. And finally, during her Senate testimony, Ford unequivocally stated that “there were four boys I remember specifically being there,” in addition to her friend Leland Keyser.
<snip>
Open-minded Americans of all stripes should see that — emotions aside — Ford’s testimony is completely devoid of credibility: so much so, that Mitchell told the Senate this week that Ford’s allegations do not even meet the preponderance of evidence standard. That standard, which governs in civil litigation, asks whether it is more likely than not that an event occurred.
<snip>
Not really... many people just lurk.
With Kavanaugh we learned that one woman is brave enough to go before Congress and say, "Brett Kavanaugh, having you on the Supreme court is going to do to to women..."
Do you know, because I'm not really sure.
If only 40% of what one party accuses the other of is true that would be enough for me to think that both (R) & (D) should be flushed down the toilet.
What we have are a bunch of people willing to stand up for Brett, and a bunch of people contacting the FBI claiming that Brett has a dark side and lied about the extent of his partying and drinking. I believe that this deserves a fair and thorough investigation which unfortunately wasn't done by either democrats or republicans because of their political agendas.
Media Bias Fact Check: Incompetent or Dishonest
"Media Bias Fact Check," a media outlet that claims to be "dedicated to educating the public on media bias and deceptive news practices," is either inept or dishonest.
If only 40% of what one party accuses the other of is true that would be enough for me to think that both (R) & (D) should be flushed down the toilet.
They must both keep up with the science and not deviate from this sixty percent.
It is we who should be flushed down the toilet.
I tell you; Congress would be last if anyone got flushed down the toilet.
Media Bias/Fact Check (MBFC) is a fact-checking website which indexes and ranks websites by left- or right wing bias (each website is ranked from "extreme left" to "least biased" to "extreme right") and by quality of factual reporting (each website has a "conspiracy level" and a "pseudo-sci level"). Although MBFC's methodology is ultimately subjective,[1] it appears to be relatively consistent and reliable in its ratings. MBFC has extensions for both Firefox(link) and Chrome(link)
I believe that this deserves a fair and thorough investigation which unfortunately wasn't done by either democrats or republicans because of their political agendas.
I'm not worried about any dark side, I just think if he didn't answer straightforwardly and could not lead us to the heart of the matter in his hearing and my political lean that I wouldn't vote for him.
I hope he had fun and does a good job for us as SCJ.
The dark side to which you refer simply makes no sense.
The guy is an honor student active in various academic and social organizations, planning to pursue a career in the public eye and constructing his life in a manner to do so.
I knew various people like this in my high school. One of them is now a surgeon of some note. He was carrying a 4.0 average and actually finished with that GPA in High School. He received a grade on an assignment that was not an A++++ kind of a grade and he was so upset that he actually cried in the classroom.
That's the way these folks are.
On the other hand, there was a less motivated, but better looking guy from the football team who made love with the captain of the cheerleaders on a green of the local country club. If there was a student in my class walking upright who was not aware of this within about 10 seconds of the event via the rumor mill , I don't know who it could have been.
You are gripped by the belief that an overachieving nerd-boy conducted a rape ring as described in the ridiculous fables presented 35 years later and utterly and completely secret until then.
Your assertion is absurd.
The question is unclear. Please rephrase?
Was she lying?
How do you know.
It is not necessarily a lie to say this is what you are doing to women.
He didn't do it.
What should he have said?
It's difficult to provide details on something that never happened.
Or got to the heart of the matter.
He did well as he did.
I believe that everyone no matter how great they look has a dark side. I believe that about both Obama and Clinton. I myself have a dark side. The way we present ourselves to people always conceal a checkered past. I myself got stellar grades but sometimes got myself into trouble. People are complex and you can't assume that getting a good grade or looking perfect and stellar on the outside means he didn't make any mistakes. We know for a fact that he wasn't a nerd. From his own social calendar he had a lot of friends, went to a lot of parties, and did a lot of drinking. He was a great student who put effort into having a good image, but he also liked to be wild. So I think a thorough investigation is definitely warranted.
Key words are ULTIMATELY SUBJECTIVE. Therefore biased.....
Was she lying?
How do you know.
It is not necessarily a lie to say this is what you are doing to women.
She may have, at some point in her life, been sexually assaulted. However, in the testimony of the alleged Kavanaugh attack, there were gaping holes in details that should have existed. If one has been attacked in such a manner as she claims, the date and place are pretty much branded into one's brain. Bizarre details, such as smells, colors, sounds are recalled in clarity. To not remember any of those types of details either means that she had more than one beer, and her memory so impaired which means her clarity of what actually took place would be just as fogged, calling into question her 'reality' of the event, or she mentally 'colored' the event to be more than it was.
Either way, there wasn't sufficient evidence to support her accusation, decades later.
I'm not sure what you mean by saying 'this is what you are doing to women'.... it's obvious that it isn't easy for those who have been attacked to come forward, but the timing, and lack of evidence and witnesses makes this a politically motivated situation, which is abhorrent in my opinion. I don't like Kavanaugh, for his decisions previous, and likely future decisions.... but this has been rock bottom garbage from the Democrats.
