Trump On a Roll This Sunday AM

It's strictly politics and managing the news cycle. Right now the news cycle is "Russia gate" and it buries the things the GOP has done. The IG has a report out soon about the State Department under Clinton, and I suspect there is other investigations going on. The malfeasance is too big to ignore.

I have zero faith in Sessions, but since Trump hasn't fired him, and the republicans are not bitching very much about him, a read between the lines tells me something is going on that hasn't leaked. Lets not forget that 90% of what Russia Trump vs Non Russia Trump is based on is anonymous leaks. The news cycle is shifting away from Trump to Mueller depending on what level of psychosis you are at. ;)

It's great fun for political junkies, but it drowns out the real things going on we should be hearing about.

I remember some of my coworkers loved Trump and after the election they kept saying something like, "if Hillary just goes away, Trump will let her go." I think they thought Trump was going to prosecute her unless she stayed around and kept causing problems.

They really believe in all that, "lock her up" nonsense... so anyway... Trump is now ranting and raving on Twitter, what about Hillary???? I mean, it's funny, because he led his supporters to think he alone had some kind of authority to prosecute her and lock her up, and they voted for that.

It will be interesting on what they come up with on Hillary, but she has been investigated non stop. I highly doubt they'll find something prosecutable at this point. Also, it would be disgusting and undemocratic if Trump did pressure the DOJ to prosecute her for something for his political benefit. It wouldn't surprise me though.

It’s like a wounded animal, irrationally lashing out at impending danger.

I wonder what they found this time?

I agree with both points. He seems to be having some kind of breakdown, and I wonder what the WH staff are doing. Calm him down. Tell him to stop tweeting. WTF does the WH look like when this happening?

The most recent news to come out was about Jr meeting with Saudis and the UAE to illegally help influence the campaign. But that is already out, so maybe Trump has been notified of more to come out. Maybe we will know by end of next week :2razz:

Maybe Cohen flipped... :2razz:

That’s not a bad guess.

This is from a journalist on twitter:

BREAKING: Republican lobbyist just told me that Trump and his White House are “bracing” for indictments of Americans prob for conspiring against US & fraud. Likely to include Roger Stone, Sam Clovis, and more charges against Paul Manafort. Maybe Kushner and Don Jr. #TrumpColluded

...aaaand Roger Stone just told Chuck Todd on NBC that he is expecting Mueller to indict him on some ‘private business’.

He claims there’s no collusion tho. Just like Manafort and Flynn and Papadopoulus and Page claimed innocence....

Common Sense 1 said:
Team Mueller should be scrupulously nonpartisan (e.g. no donors to either party or 2016 nominee) or at least look like America (split dialectically between Democrats and Republicans). Instead, as the Daily Caller confirms, Mueller’s 17 prosecutors resemble a local Democratic club.

14 are Democrats
Three are party-unaffiliated
None is a Republican
Twelve are Democratic donors
One also is a Republican donor
Two maxed out as Hillary Clinton donors

Bingo!

An inconvenient truth that the Lefties can't explain away.
First, of the 17, according to Politifact, "12 people on Mueller’s staff are registered Democrats." But it shouldn't matter if they were ALL Democrats.

Second, and most important, is that the implication is that Democratic registered legal professionals can't give Trump a fair shake because they are biased, which is preposterous. They take an oath to support and defend the constitution and there is no hint of bias.

Third, employees are entitled to hold whatever party affiliation that they want and it's never been a standard to require that investigators must be of the same political party as the subject of an investigation.

The tactic being used is deflection -- instead of focusing on potential crimes committed by Trump and his henchmen -- which is more evident as each day passes, claim that the prosecution team is out to get him.

It does matter and everyone knows it matters. Two maxed out as Hillary Clinton donors. Part of the "resist" movement? Pay attention to what the FBI was doing during the campaign. Very biased and very political. Appearance means a lot and the team Muller put together does not look good.

It only matters to partisan hacks who are trying to discredit a legitimate investigation.

You also must have been outraged 20 years ago by Ken Starr, who raised funds for Republican candidates and was an officer in the Federalist Society, the high-powered organization of right-wing Republican lawyers.

On the other hand, Robert Mueller is a proven nonpartisan attorney with a sterling career in law enforcement. Mueller was asked to serve as special counsel by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who was appointed by Trump.

What your side is going is playing the equivalent of the race card -- Trump is being discriminated against because he's a Republican. On the contrary, Republicans who are suspected of high-crimes are eligible to be investigated the same as Democrats.

As long as Trump goes down first, everyone else in the Kingdom of Washington can go down after him. And I don’t care what their political or philosophical affiliation is.

I don’t care who’s been ****ing who. Who’s been colluding with Russians, they probably all have, who’s taking the the most lobbyists and foreign money, because they probably all have. Etc, etc, etc.

Everybody in this nation should wake up every day feeling like they’ve been sucker punched. If a person doesn’t then they’ve bought the propaganda. Doesn’t matter where its origin came from. What an un****ingbelievable mess our nation’s in.

Stay tuned to Twitter for the next episode of, “This Is Your Life”.

Actually, it does. I understand what you are trying to say -- establishment is establishment but there is no realistic difference between establishment Republicans and Trump. They both want tax cuts for the rich and regulation cuts -- all paid by workers.

Can't argue with that.

Flurry of five or six in short order this morning....

Bonus tweet: BBC trolls Trump regarding crowd size @ Royal Wedding

Another embarrassing day for Americans. His loyal fan base was at church, and he was acting like a toddler, again.

Did you see that when he announced that his wife was home, he called her "Melanie"? He changed it, but the comments on his original Tweet are hilarious.

The man is an overweight infant. #sad

Facts are facts:
14 are Democrats
Three are party-unaffiliated
None is a Republican
Twelve are Democratic donors
One also is a Republican donor
Two maxed out as Hillary Clinton donors

They're investigating their fellow Democratic donor and Hillary Clinton fan/donor, Donald J. Trump. He should be comforted by that. Those are his kin and his people.
