Sorry for the title.....there are a few interconnected thoughts that I would like to explore and laziness set in as far as multiple posts.....
666 5th Ave. I don't frequent multi-story office buildings or hotels, but don't most places avoid the dreaded "13th" floor? I have no idea how long this building has carried this address, but wouldn't 664 1/2 or something similar been little more foresighted? I have worked with people who would not go near an invoice or a PO with any combination of triple 6's. What was the reason this was thought to be a good investment? Also reports that Vornado (approx 50% owner) wants to sell and the Kushners are seen as prime buyers....wtf?
I am a full believer in coincidences, but to have Carl Icahn sell of a large portion of his 'steel' holdings prior to a tariff announcement and Kushner Companies attempt to get Qatar's approval for loans, be denied and then the Administration siding with the blockade of the same nation............
The third leg of my fried rice metaphor is this question. According to my reading, the mortgage on the 666 property is due and payable in early 2019. What happens if the Kushner Co. can't pay?
Anyhow now I am hungry, probably going to get Chinese carry out tonight.......pork, beef and shrimp fried rice!
