Senator Dick Durbin Puts the Rumors to Rest!

When you single out the "brown" countries as ****hole and then say "we need more white people" it kind of is.

If these places are ****holes, why wouldn't we welcome people escaping them. You know, taking some personal responsibility for themselves?

When you single out countries as "brown", I'd say you're as guilty as you claim others are. They're just people, with the same wants and needs as the rest of us.

I don't agree with Trump's statement, but I understand the sentiment behind it. When we allow a goatherd from Katmandu to come here, what we get is a goatherd. That doesn't mean we shouldn't allow that person to come here, but you have to remember that we're picking that person over someone else who may have more skills to come here and hopefully contribute to the advancement of our culture. Assuming everyone in all those third world countries wants to emigrate to this country (and they don't), exactly how do you propose that we limit our selection - because we must, out of necessity, limit that selection?

How about a 1 for 1 trade with Haiti?
I have an idea about the selection criteria that could be used to choose the outgoing.
It won't be popular but it would be a way to definitively determine if a position is sincerely held or is merely pretense.
