Why George Papadopoulos' guilty plea is a much bigger problem for Trump than the Manafort indictment

It's too bad Mueller was unable to figure out which leads were good leads without checking the leads out first.

I know on TV the lawyers are able to figure that stuff out without checking.
So why can't the guys in real life do the same?
Why do they waste energy checking out things which do not pan out?
They should only check leads which pan out like on TV.

If trying to entrap every defense attorney in America based solely on the assurance of the low-life street world were "normal", I suspect that we would have a revolving door of Prosecutorial entrapments of opposing legal counsels.

Even though I consider my politics to be right of center, I'm probably for more criminal justice reform than most self-identified moderates and liberals. Prosecutors violate defendant's rights repeatedly, and almost always get away with it.

Anything to defend this cabal, right Habana? now if these crimes had been committed by people in the Obama administration, I am sure it would be no big deal to you as well!

Well, that's a lot of conjecture, but we'll just have to wait to see how it pans out. Candidates meet other leaders all the time, and it was well known that Trump wanted a better relationship with Russia than Hillary wanted so none of that is out of the normal. It will take a lot more -- a LOT more -- to create anything close to being significant of wrongdoing. So far, only personal finances and false statements have been charged. Nothing to do with an actual crime concerning Russia and our election. When, and if, that actual crime appears, we'll have something substantial.

President Trump's refusal to condemn Putin's political assassinations really has only a small number of likely explanations, and they're all bad.

This isn't simply conjecture, we KNOW that Russia chose to help President Trump: which really has only a small number of likely explanations, and they're all bad.

What's most alarming to me is how so many people who pretend to care about this country and its values, suddenly ignore all of those considerations. We NEED to restore faith in our government, we NEED to get to the bottom of these allegations.

Unfortunately my twin has become allergic to cats and dogs. He had a cat once but couldn't get another one after it passed as had all kinds of health issues because of it. So the alternative was an alarm system although he's getting pissed as the service keeps jacking up their rates.

Ironically I've never been allergic to cats and dogs and my other allergies have become almost nonexistent as I get older. Just the opposite of my twin. I keep telling him it's the old house he lives in.

I have a 120 pound Akita that would make a run of the mill burgler think twice by her bark and size. Had a guy come to my fish taxidermy business that strangely didn't seem interested in taxidermy. Just hee hawed around. I think he was casing the place but the dog made him uneasy.

Your brother can consider a hypoallergenic purebred like a Giant Schnauzer. They have a habit of making short work from uninvited intruders, are extremely loyal, loving and protective of children. The allergy is not really of dogs, but the mites which live in their fur. Hypoallergenic dogs have a compound in their skin, a natural lubricant, which repels those mites. A friend acquired one for her son, the boy allergic to almost anything that moves and many foods, the two are inseparable. When I visit, tho the dog knows me well, he must inspect me thoroughly prior to any contact with her son, and then he keeps an eye on me throughout the visit as I spend time with her son. I've been teaching the boy guitar since he's 7, and I'm with him at least once every two weeks. He's now 14, remarkable with a guitar, better with a piano. Most of the allergies have diminished as he's matured, but ground nuts and many perfumes still devastate him.

I've watched that dog keep door to door magazine salespeople off their property. :) He doesn't bark, he growls and bares his teeth, and they all back away. Dogs bark when they are afraid. He doesn't fear them, he does menace them.

I thought everyone knew this story.
It's way off topic though

Envy of God's favor

And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

6 And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

That's a passage from the Holman Christian Standard Bible, the St. James and other Christian bibles. It is not in the Torah, the first bible, of the Jews. Therefore there is a question of authenticity. Catholic theologians explain the difference as one of redefining the need for blood sacrifice as Cain tilled the fields and Abel the flocks. Not the topic but very interesting. When I speak of the Bible, the so-called First Testament specifically, I usually refer to the Torah. I'm not Jewish, but I've studied it extensively for my own curiosity. Just as I've studied Christian bibles and their differences of verse and meanings. I follow neither religion by choice and heritage.

Interestingly, rabbinical stories lay claim of jealousy over a woman, also not in the Torah. Christian sources blame jealousy over the respect given from God. And this does bring us back to topic, since political jealousy is the cause of what we are discussing and seeing. Only with future of the nation at stake, not reverence of God.

I'm still floored that the common working class and the poor thought a silver spoon, money grabbing con artist with a trophy wife was going to be their salvation. And many of these people are still sticking by him!

I guess it's true what Mark Twain said: It's easier to fool a man then to get him to admit he was fooled.

Or, that they recognized he is not a man of the people, but he is a man for the people. Whereas his opponent was strictly out for herself, and paid them lip service. To paraphrase another, "Better a hypocrite I know, than one who I don't know." :)

Some thoughts for you to keep in mind:

For those who achieve mega wealth, there comes a point in time where the money is only a matter of gaming, not a goal in itself. For someone like Hil, the greed will never cease. Try being honest with yourself as to which is worse, the gamer or the never-ending ambitions. Of the two, which has an ego more detrimental for the American people? Not a question any of us can answer until after the fact, and then one part will always be nothing more than speculation. Pronouncements prior to events are always the work of fools.

And you really don't believe Harvard Hil wasn't born with a silver spoon in her mouth?

I have no doubt that we'll get to the bottom of the allegations, but I doubt that we'll see charges stemming from that particular issue.

Why isn't President Trump helping us get there?

He could release his tax returns. He could cooperate with Mueller's investigation. He could cooperate with the investigations in the Senate and in the House. He could enforce the Russian sanctions in response to Russian crimes.

Why doesn't he simply do some of those things?

Because he is corrupt as hell!

Has anyone actually tried to "to entrap every defense attorney in America based solely on the assurance of the low-life street world"?

I don't know. Probably for the same reason Obama threw up roadblocks to the Fast and Furious investigation.

Papadopoulos' guilty plea is much bigger problem for Trump than the Manafort indictment - CNNPolitics

It appears that Papadoupolos was flipped and took a guilty plea several weeks before news of his indictment was released today.

Some folks on Team Trump are probably sweating bullets right now wondering what he turned over to Mueller in return for the plea bargain.

Statement from Papadopoulos attorney unlikely to relieve their anxiety:

Definitely Papadopoulos has been free to walk around talking to others that were involved in this, probably wired to the hilt--for longer than 2 months. I imagine the White House is as nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof about who he talked too, emailed or texted over the last couple of months.

But the elephant in the room is Michael Flynn. I am very surprised he hasn't been indicted YET. They had more on Flynn, than they did Manafort. But Flynn did offer to do a tell all, if they would give him immunity from prosecution. The House intelligence committee turned him down. He went in to testify and pleaded the 5th all the way through.

So Mueller may have had second thoughts about Michael Flynn who was looking for a plea deal. It could be that Michael Flynn is also working with Mueller.

Of course Trump pressured Comey to drop the investigation on Flynn, then fired Comey, and now Trump is under investigation for Obstruction of Justice for firing Comey.

It didn't help that Trump went on an NBC interview and admitted he fired Comey over the Russian investigation.

Gosh, you sure are perceptive.

Didn't take much, I own a copy of the vinyl album, and the cover is in mint shape, as is the vinyl.

Taped all my albums, kept them as masters and listened to the tapes.
