    * Trump’s tax returns could expose the extent of his global business entanglements, including potential conflicts of interest that violate the Constitution’s emoluments clause. In particular, Trump’s returns could tell us quite a bit about his ties to Russian entities and banks. Although Trump has claimed he has no business or loans in Russia, his son said in 2008 that “we see a lot money pouring in from Russia.”
Again, if there's nothing to hide, Trump would have released them and would have been proud to do so.

As governor of IN he tried to pass a statewide law that would allow discrimination against LGBT folks and had to walk it back after pressure from the business community. He's also an advocate of "gay deprogramming". If one likes the social intolerance of the 1950's Mike's your guy!

As much as an embarrassment it is, I hope the circus continues until at least 2018 when there's a small chance the Dems can retake the majority in either one or both houses. That's a big, "if" given the horrible candidates the Dems have put up the last couple of cycles.
Pence would be bad but the republicans are divided and his policy on LGBT may not pass the senate. It looks like Trump's policy won't either. But then if the chaos continues, nothing may get done. A mess for sure.

The IRS has his returns, and has had them since he started filing returns. Odd how nothing criminal has been found during any previous audits, don't you think?

The IRS looks for folks that try to hide income. They don't look for conflicts of interest. But don't worry, Mueller will.

I'm not worried about Mueller one way or the other, so not sure why you thought it was important to include that.

Bribery is a crime, not a conflict of interest. If there was evidence bribery in his returns, it's odd that the IRS didnt take action.

How far will they dig, and will Trump blink, and have Mueller fired. The case for obstruction is strong just going off what is in the public record.

So you think the IRS can uncover bribery? I'm not an IRS accountant but I don't think Trump's accountants would write in one of Trump's supporting schedules - "this income is a bribe". But you must be a tax accountant, so I'm not going to argue with you. Congrats - you win.

No, not an accountant, bit I don't underestimate the resources the IRS has available to it.
