I have seen a lot of posts with people stating there is no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia and thought I would address this.

The Trump circle denied (5 times) that any of their surrogates had contact with any Russians during the campaign season.

In this 8 minute FOX News video Shep Smith explains that not only were Trump surrogates on the phone with the Russian Ambassador, but also with Russian intelligence agents including the very day that DNC databases were getting hacked into.

Only after Flynn got busted, and Sessions was accused of lying more Trump surrogates came forward to admit meeting with the Russian ambassador. This time at the RNC Convention in July--where they actually installed in the Republican platform--"that we will not arm the Ukranians against pro-Russian separatists."

In July was the time that Comey testified the Russian investigation started.
http://http://www.politico.com/story/2017/03/fbi-trump-russia-probe-timeline-236258

Adam Schiff cochair of the House intelligence committee had this to say:

Trump fired Comey, and now Robert Mueller, special prosecutor is in charge, and he has opened up another investigation into Obstruction of Justice. Trump in an NBC interview with Lestor Holt admits he fired Comey over the Russian Investigation. You can watch it at this link.

They don't turn congressional probes into criminal investigations without evidence of a crime being committed.

If FOX NEWS is not reporting on any of this, it's probably time to turn the channel.

This is more suited to General political. I'd read the rules before making more threads in BN.

And yet...NONE of this "evidence" proves (or even hints at) actual collusion with Russia in either election interference or hacking.

Nice try though. :coffeepap:

But...but...it comes from an unnamed source!! It MUST be true!!

Yep, trying to turn the investigation of Russian election hacking into an all out assault on Trump.

Please share with us the evidence that Trump or his campaign committed a crime.

Trump Campaign did not say they had no contact with Russians, they said they had no contact with Russians regarding the election.
If sessions was at the RNC convention and a Russian ambassador was there and they exchanged greetings to each other then that means they spoke. But it doesn't mean anything political, let alone anything regarding the election, was discussed.

And you are incorrect about the investigation you referred to. A congressional probe as well as a full investigation does not require evidence. They don't need probable cause. They can conduct one anytime they want.

So, what did you post that is new?

Breaking news today 06/28/2017

WASHINGTON -- President Trump's former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, has registered with the Justice Department as a foreign agent for political consulting work he did for a Ukrainian political party, acknowledging that he coached party members on how to interact with U.S. government officials. Manafort says in a Justice Department filing Tuesday that his firm, DMP International, received more than $17 million from the Party of Regions, the former pro-Russian ruling party in Ukraine, for consulting work from 2012 through 2014. Manafort is the second member of the Trump campaign to register as a foreign agent. In March, former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn registered with the Justice Department for work his consulting firm performed for a Turkish businessman that he said could have aided the Turkish government. Both registrations came after the work had been completed.

http://http://www.cbsnews.com/news/michael-flynn-initially-did-not-disclose-russian-linked-payments/

So this ties into the original post of why they wanted "We will not arm the Ukranians against Pro-Russian separatists" that was installed into the Republican platform during the RNC convention.

No they didn't--they continually denied that they or their surrogates had any contact with Russians (during the CAMPAIGN SEASON.)

Trump reportedly denied any campaign-season contact between those close to him and Russia after a mid-January news conference. After being asked about it at the end of the conference, he didn't answer the question. Reporters chased him down afterward, at which point, according to CNN's Jim Acosta and ABC's Cecilia Vega, Trump flatly denied any contact between his associates or his campaign and Russia.
http://https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2017/02/15/4-times-donald-trumps-team-denied-contact-with-russia/?utm_term=.bac5f312dcba

There is absolutely no reason for any campaign to have contact during the campaign season with Russians. They can't vote or make campaign donations, and they sure weren't trading cookie recipes. Let alone sit down with them in the middle of a campaign season during the RNC convention to write foreign policy with them, long before they're even close to winning an election. I am certain this sent off alarm bells to every intelligence agenccy in this country including M!6 and the Five eyes. (other countries that share intelligence with us.)

Your side makes three mistakes:

1. you think that talking with the Russians is collusion. It is not. It is talking to the Russians.

2. You equate talking with the Russians as colluding with them to influence the election. Even top Democrats privy to intelligence admit that there is no evidence Trump or his campaign colluded with the Russians in order to influence the election

3. You think that Russia's ATTEMPTS to influence the election changed the election results. There is zero proof that anything the Russians did changed the election results.

Further, if Hillary hadn't been a crook there would have been nothing Russia could have done to even attempt to influence the elections.

Time will tell. as will the multiple investigations.

Did you even watch Shep Smiths video? You know those phone records never go away. We have 5 denials--of anyone within the Trump campaign talking with Russians during the campaign season. We have Trump surrogates admitting to meeting with the Russian ambassador at the RNC convention to insert into the Republican platform that "we will not arm Ukranians against pro-RUSSIAN separatists. We have Michael Flynn and now tonight learned that Paul Manafort were both Foreign agents--and never acknowledged that. Well Flynn did after he got busted, and Manafort did today. We have Trump continually denying the intelligence coming out of the CIA, the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, including 14 other intelligence agencies that Russians did indeed hack into DNC database's. At one point stating that he knew people that knew more than they did, and he would get back to us next week, which never happened.
http://http://www.cbsnews.com/news/paul-manafort-retroactively-registers-justice-department-foreign-agent/

We have Trump inviting the Russians into the Oval office, and while blocking out American media lets the Russian media in. In the process he gives them sensitive classified information that our allies didn't even know about. Classsified information that had never gone through the process of being declassified. There were only 3 other Americans in that room. H.R. McMaster, National security advisor, Dina Powell, Deputy National Security Advisor, and Rex Tillerson, Secretary of State. So which one of these people leaked this information to the Washington Post? I think Trump expects "loyalty" from his cabinet--but what he has never realised is that these same people swore an oath to this country to protect it from foreign and domestic enemies. Did it ever occur to you that they consider Trump to be the enemy?

No I am not the one that's made any mistakes. It's clear that this entire administration is stuffed full of foreign Russian interests and colluded with the Russians to interfere into an American election which is TREASON. Michael Flynn finally disclosed he was working as a Foreign agent, receiving 500K for his services--while he was attending daily National Security Briefings. Today, Paul Manafort was forced by the Justice department to disclose that he was also working as a foreign agent for Russia regarding Ukraine. recieving 17 MILLION dollars for his services, while he was Trump's campaign manager. They not only talked with the Russians they sat down at the RNC Convention to write foreign policy with them, and long before they were even close to winning an election.

You know reading has never killed anyone yet, you might want to try it sometime.

It doesn't matter if this collusion changed a single vote, it's still Treason. This has absolutely nothing to do with Hillary Clinton, except she and the DNC were the targets of a Russian cyber attack to help Trump win the election.

Yes I did watch it, your point?

They need to include Claire McCaskill and Nancy Pelosi in their investigation. Both lied about meeting the ambassador.
