Callista Gingrich to the Vatican?

Wasn't Newt married three or four times, and in fact, met Callista while cheating on whatever wife he was then with...? Yup, Pope will love that.

You are technically correct in the charges brought forward, but the GOP attempted to ride a social wave they thought would appear over Clinton's affair, and to their dismay it didn't happen.

However, Gingrich and Hastert were indeed having their own secretive affairs concurrently, with Hastert's being particularly diabolical.

And no, it was not 'nice' as you claim.

There's no technically about it. Clinton was not impeached because of this or any other revisionism you wish to trot out.

Anyway, I honestly did not think that Rick Santorum was a serious suggestion. Doesn't strike me as anything close to a bastion of moral authority.

As much as I blame the cheating spouse....I give as much thumbs down to the individuals who knowingly hook up with married people.

I don't think it matters. The Vatican isn't a very important post anyway. At least I heard she is Catholic. Can someone explain why we have an Ambassador to the Vatican? It isn't like it is a country or something. Why an Ambassador just to the head honcho of the Catholics? We don't to my knowledge have an Ambassador to the head of any other religion.

Shouldn't the Embassy in Rome or the Ambassador there which includes all of Italy also include the Vatican?

The Vatican has enough of it's own "rattling bones" within it's walls to be worried about the lifestyle of ambassadors.

It's largely a ceremonial posting! Long history, Swiss guards and many traditional ceremonies steeped in history. We can do better than sending the Gingrich's as a reward for loyalty to DJT.

Ambassadorships has a very long history as being used to reward those who worked hard, gave tons of money to a presidential candidate who won. It goes all the way back to the Spoils system of the early 1800's. It hasn't changed all that much.

Cheap shot? Look a few posts earlier. The topic was the pick of Ambassador to the Vatican, and already we have Clinton introduced??
