"Does anyone know an "Isabel T. John," from Englewood, NJ? It appears she gave $400,000 to Trump's inaugural, but I can't find records of her "

Unless I am mistaken, funding the inaugural is not done prior to the election.

That, in fact, it is very important to follow up on.

I'm guessing it was all coordinated by the Russians. Come to think of it, I bet all those people at Trump rallies were Russians too....illegal alien Russians!

Almost half a million dollars from someone who doesn't seem to exist isn't something to be laughed away. And that's only one example of many.

BTW Russian involvement is cetrtain, only the extent is in question.

That made me chuckle as much as an article at Free Beacon about a protest coming up, "March for Science" against spending cuts. One such scientist and her duck penis study that received $384,949 from the National Science Foundation, a grant that was funded through the 2009 stimulus package has now become an activist. The study looked at the differences in the corkscrew-shaped penises of ducks. Then she went on to study whale penises on the grant and now appears to be upset that her study will not be receiving more taxpayer funding.

So thanks for the chuckle. There are not too many out there these days.

Apparently, there's Trump broke a record on inauguration funding as well. An undisclosed amount leftover could be used for personal use.

Interest groups donated to Trump's record-breaking inauguration fund - ABC News

A record-breaking $107 million poured in for President Trump’s inauguration celebration from corporate giants, business titans and a roster of NFL owners, raising new questions about the influence of money in politics.
In a statement, the inaugural committee said Trump's inauguration "was one of the most accessible and affordable inaugurations for the public in recent history."
The release of the contribution records reveals that Trump’s top inaugural donors included business leaders and corporations, including several from the financial, energy, and technology sector that have business dealings with the U.S. government.

"This is the complete opposite of what candidate Trump campaigned on, where he attacked these huge corporations, made clear they could buy politicians because he had done so, and is the political equivalent of overflowing the swamp not draining it," said Fred Wertheimer, president of Democracy21, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that works on money in politics and government reform issues.
Wertheimer said the undisclosed amount of funds could be a "pot of secret money for President Trump to play with," if the total is taxed.

First off, Twitter isn't much of a source of anything except great disappointment at the decline of civilization.

Second, why would anyone care who funded an inaugural ball?

Evidently among Republicans it is looking pretty good!

The Republican National Committee today announced it raised $41.5 million in the first three months of 2017, its strongest-ever total for the first quarter following a presidential race.

Because it has the appearance of a possible play-to-pay maneuver.
