I believe you are right. Democrats have been tripping over themselves in this election season to offer the most 'free' government cash to poor ignorant voters in hopes of buying their votes. That is a political gimmick that has been used effectively by democrats for decades. Never mind that it has helped build up a massive amount of unsustainable debt over the years and that we are now facing bankruptcy as a nation because of that debt.

LOL. Schumer and Pelosi are stopping Trump from taking any credit so it is actually THEM who are playing partisan political politics with the upcoming election in mind.
 
I don't plan to vote for Trump but I definitely won't be voting for a democrat. As for the checks, I am in the position I am indifferent to them. I won't spend the money if I keep it. Might give it away. I personally plan to shun stores long after this is over just for spite.

Whatever president was in office was gonna get permission to send out checks. that president Was gonna benefit from it and was gonna have the other side try and stop them from getting full credit..

That is all normal politics..

Just for context.. I am in no way a democrat.. More than that there is not one politician active right now that I find very interesting.. in a positive way at least..


That said I find the narrative MAINSTREAM republicans, INCLUDING THEIR ELECTED OFFICIALS are selling, to just be SOOOO logically and logistically ridiculous. That it is offensive to me.. Obviously they must think I am stupid..

I personally am very anti the “tax the rich” narrative.

The goal is supposed to be securing/expanding the social safety net programs, not taxing rich people..


Taxing rich people is the way they are proposing to pay for it. Not the goal..


It is definitely cheap rabble rousing, but worse than that imho, it is shooting yourself in the foot..

Hypothetically, you might find a way to pay for it without taxing the rich.

Communists and socialists see the government as the owner and giver of all good things. The government decides how much money people should make and how much they get to keep. To leftist socialists, tax cuts are subsidies in which the government gives workers more of the government money to keep than is fair.

America was not founded on communism and socialism and should not be aspiring to become more socialist or communist.

name one big deal policy that did not have partisanship that turned out well in the modern era???


The only 2 events I can think of that were basically, universally agreed upon by both sides ... that was the patriot act and the Iraq war.. both objectively considered disasters..

It seems to me the only things that pass without being challenged are times when we have been hyped up to do something stupid..

Partisanship is the main firewall against tyranny.. We want them poking holes in each other’s arguments so we know those holes are there..

Meanwhile, screw all of America right in the middle of a world wide pandemic and upcoming depression.
 
We can solve many issues with one simple policy----close the borders and have the government send out a free N95 respirator to each person based on their response to the 2020 census. 5 people in your household gets you 5 respirators in the mail. We could crush the curve, complete the census in record time, and stop COVID 19 in its tracks with that simple policy. But noooooooooooooooooo, we have to try to regulate aircraft emissions to solve coronavirus apparently according to Nancy.

Well, there is an obvious cure for that possibility, ArtemisBarca. The Democrats in Congress could prevent any stimulus or government payouts to closed businesses and out of work employees from occurring from now until November 2020. That way, there is no danger that Donald Trump would get any credit.
