Republicans strongly oppose Obama stimulus plan

When the government shuts down the entire economy and then compensates businesses hurt by that shutdown, that's not the same thing as "bailouts." The government's (justified) measures created the need for such compensation, not bad risk calculation by businesses.

TARP bailed out banks, this sends money to the people who had jobs but were told to go home. It will give those who rely on tips and are paid an hourly rate money to get by for essentials. Just this week 230,000 people lost their jobs. That number is going to rise quickly.

Some claim that stimulus never works and they make a good case. The only solution is to get people back to work as quick as we can. If that means people need to be extra careful for 3 weeks so be it.

There has been some good news today on anti viral drugs especially those who are used for malaria.
There are businesses stepping up to produce needed masks and protective wear for medical staff.
Some in the auto business have stepped up to tool to produce respirators and ventilators
Other companies are tooling to make sanitizers
Carnival cruise ships has offered their ships to be used as hospitals along the coasts.

The private sector is stepping up.

Now academia needs to do the same. Every university/college that ordered all students leave campuses needs to refund the money they have taken for the time the students are not living in the dorms.

Trump did a great thing in cutting a lot of red tape regulations that were keeping hospitals and doctors getting the supplies they need. Right now the number of deaths coming out of Italy and Europe is staggering. I sure as heck don't want to see that happen here.

Not only did lying, treasonous republiskkkum blame Obama for losing 2.2 million jobs in his first three months as potus, some of those lunatics blamed Obama for the 2.2 million jobs lost during the transition.

trump owns every negative thing happening to our Nation, not China or whoever else he blames in his insane and garbled word salads. We know how you’d behave had this happened during Obama.

I haven’t seen you play the both sidesing and false equivocator cards for a while. Do continue to give trump a pass for all the lies, disinformation, blame, and the insane word salad he tells and barfs 🤮 up every day about this virus. trump and the rest of the gop are several weeks to several months too late.
