These stats just can't possibly be right.

Or can they? I believe this is a reprinted article from the LA Times from around 2009. I can't prove the accuracy, can anyone disprove them?

Opinion: Why some believe California may be crazy

Given your "very conservative" lean, I can all but guarantee its complete bull****. Plus, you linked to an opinion piece with the typical right wing idiocy of attacking California.

Notice the author, doesn't cite anything. In typical dishonest conservatives fashion, they just claim something is fact, then proceed to spout a bunch of lies

Let's look at sopme points

The 40% don't pay taxes- https://latimesblogs.latimes.com/readers/2007/11/internet-immigr.html

Looking for truth in e-mails - Los Angeles Times
This addresses that once again, conservatives fall for fake news spread around the internet. And then try to p ass it off as a legit article. All that link you posted did was copy and paste probably russian troll material and tried to play it off like a legit article

FACT CHECK: 'The Largest Insane Asylum in the World, California'

Once again, showing conservatives have no credibility

The first clue it's pure BS is that you took it seriously. The next one is that, in typical rightwing fashion, you didn't bother to do your own research into it which would only have involved checking the LA Times website to see if such an article with that title could be found--surprise: It cannot. Another reason is that there's one comment below that article that tells us all of that and no one even bothered to try to challenge that fact.

I admit that I read that article pretty fast but I got the impression it validates most of the accusations about the harm and cost of illegals to the State.

Does "validates" mean spouts BS in your dictionary?

It's an opinion piece as in: one man's opinion. I can write an opinion piece saying sea water is safe to drink, but nobody is going to believe me.

Maxine really chaps your ass (as you put it), doesn't she. Seems like all strong women have that effect on you.

No...not "strong women". Crazy women...especially when they are members of the House.

But in this case, no...she doesn't chap MY ass, but this crazy woman should chap YOUR ass. After all, you are the progressive, right? Do you agree that the people with money should have more say in the Dem primaries?

Who hurt you? She must have been someone powerful.

So, this guy scribbles some off-the-wall "stats", ending with "Now, I don’t know whether this is true." and you're asking us to do the work/research of disproving them while you sit back waiting for us to produce the deliverable? Go away.
Now, I don’t know whether this is true.

The author closes with, "Now, I don’t know whether this is true."

LMFAO. I am opposed to illegal immigration. Always have been. Always will be. I'm an actual conservative on law and order. However, also being an actual thinking human being, I learned the meaning of "red flag" in my teen years.
