MSNBC is saying that AG William Barr will likely be pre-empting the Dec 8 release of the IG report on possible FISA warrant abuse with his own take on the matter.
Republicans have had a lot riding on the report and up until recently have been claiming it would help expose the deep state conspiracy to illegally remove the duely elected president.
But that confidence was deflated when early reports came out expecting the conclusions to show the investigation was indeed well predicated. However, Republican now dreading the release should find it comforting that Barr has once again decided to publically opine on a pivotal report.
You may recall that Bill has pulled this stunt before (quite successfully) when he took the liberty of pre-spinning the Mueller report with his own “summary of the principle conclusions.” Democrats, myself included, viewed his “summary” to be instrumental in unfairly steering public opinion away from the seriousness of the presidents misconduct.
Now it seems he is preparing for a repeat performance. Attorney General Bill Barr is no longer just a partisan. He is a political operative. He should be recusing him self from any matter that remotely relates to investigations into President Trump or alleged wrongdoing.
But who cares about fairness when you have unchecked power?
