They’re catering to people that see the world in a very specific way. Mostly older. They can’t risk challenging their views with reality or objectiveness. They’ll lose ratings and advertising dollars. After all, they work for a business with a goal of making money.

No use, can't get past the paywall, but I don't get Fox, so I have zero idea of what they are saying, but, it's probably something like, out of all the witnesses not one of them has provided any DIRECT evidence?? Is that close enough?

????? After what weve seen with the 3 year Russia deception Id say the older Republicans are probably right in the case of the Ukrainian deception.
 
I remember the very first day that Rush Limbaugh started his program. He talked over and over about "Excellence in Broadcasting" and "we'll tell you the exact truth about what's happening in our country"

Thoughts of Shakespeare ran though my mind. "thou doth protest too much" Good people simply do good things. They don't go on and on about how wonderful and special that they are. If they do, they're usually a complete phony.

That’s one of the popular rationalizations.

They make sure they say it loud enough and often enough that the audience doesn’t bother to think it through and realize that the only reason that there are no DIRECT witnesses is because Trump is hiding them.

That’s one logical step that Trumpsters never acknowledge.

No, I agree with you, Giulani, Pompeo definitely need to appear and give their testimony, but what I am saying is, right now, this moment, people on the left are going, OMG SUCH EVIDENCE....when there's actually no evidence, just a lot of smoke, lots of perception, lots of I believe, and I thought, etc....

If the hearings ended right now, I don't know how you vote to impeach, unless it's a partisan hack.

But you need to hear from Giulani and Pompeo, to see what they have, could be they go in, and say, no...Trump told me that he wanted xxxxx and xxxxxx before he would meet, to me, that's direct evidence and a game changer.

What happens if Giulani testifies and says Trump NEVER said he wanted xxxx and xxxx etc, do you think the hearings stop or Trump is innocent?

That's the difference, most people on the left have made up their mind he is guilty, and nothing will change it, while some on the right have for sure, I have yet to hear one say, he's absolutely innocent, nothing can change my mind, but you hear that a ton from the left...(speaking more of people on cable news, congressman etc, more than your joe public person)

They are older and less well educated. The Republican Party is the old stupid party. Low income Republicans have to be stupid to think they benefit from tax cuts for the rich.

Rush Limbaugh began his career in Sacramento, California. Once he was warning his empty headed ditto heads that the Communists were taking over the world, and that if we did not fight back there would be a Communist dictatorship ruling the United States.

I called in and politely explained why Communism is not as dangerous as Rush feared. I said that there are two ways the United States could "go Communist."

First, the Soviet Army could invade and conquer us. I reminded Rush that the Soviet Army was losing its war in Afghanistan, and that the United States is stronger than Afghanistan.

Second, the American Communist Party could lead the American working class in a revolution against capitalism, and create a dictatorship of the proletariat. I told Rush that that was unlikely too, because the American Communist Party only had several thousand members nationwide. Most were elderly dreamers who had joined the Party during the Great Depression, and stayed in it because they had nothing else to do with their lives.

When I realized that Limbaugh had hung up on me I turned my radio back on and heard a harsh, gravely voice say, "I liked the way you handled that last call Rush. That guy was a hard core Communist. You can't be too careful with that kind."

He started his career with cigarette industry propaganda at the time where i believe most people were just becoming aware of the hazards and learning to stop.
 
All in all fox news is the news station made by the sleazy sort of headline grubbing reporting a lot of tv shows were trying to warn us about. They invent stories to rile up the base and keep them watching but they only serve the wealthy, WASP elite that seek to bully the referee into believing their nonsense by saying “we are the only ones that will report this story” or “why hasnt any other outlet reported this?” And invent conspiracies to explain why. Fox viewers are taught to close themselves off from the outside world. Fox viewers will get very angry when you mention this but seriously ask yourself if defending a corporate giant is worth getting upset about. Of course fox goes all in for trump because he is an oligarch, wealthy elitist who looks down on the working men and women who have to scrounge for everything they get.
