So the president can't do anything for his own personal benefit??

Can he make the economy boom?

Can he make peace in the Middle East?

So the president can't do anything for his own personal benefit??

That's a four-year-old's response.

"So now I can't do anything! You guys never let me do anything!"

How does one do that and maintain self respect.

Sure he can ask for a favor from Ukraine in the form of help in the 2020, and hold up aid and a white house meeting and the favor of the U.S. in trying to get it.
He did it. He's being impeached for it. Any other questions?

Or are you in that acceptance phase like Mick Mulvaney is, where you're just agreeing he did it, but "so what"?

1) he's not being impeached

2) they say he cant do it because its to his personal benefit, but so is making economy boom. Do you understand?

Please, God, let that be a joke.

I lack the IQ to respond substantively

You got it, finally.

I do like that you're a fairly earlier adopter of the "he did it but so what" defense..the last stage is always acceptance isn't it.

Everyone thinks I'm real smart. Some question that a little when they find I'm very pro gun, a fiscal conservative and a hawk. They really question it when they find I'm a fan of Bush 2. And some people are just ignorant; like, all the time. Kinda as a lifestyle. They're determined to never know what they're talking about.

And yet he never did.

Mulvaney didn't say that either.

The presidency requires a high degree of professionalism due to the high stakes of the job. A good president can compartmentalize their personal needs verses the needs of the nation and then prioritize the needs of the nation.

So to answer your questions:

1. No, if it harms the nation, and literally every public thing a president acts on affects the nation. They give up their personal lives (to a big degree) for the sake of the nation.
2. The president has limited impact on the economy, except what legislation they can get through congress
3. no president has been able to yet. Maybe one day, but ultimately it is up to the people in that region to grow up.

I don't need to read that to know it's pearls before swine. Grammar and structure is unwarranted in response. I hope you write for the audience.

I am aware that the OP isn't interested in debate, but I believe what I believe, and hopefully for good reason (I try to be honest at least)

trump’s impeachable actions in Ukraine are orders of magnitude less dangerous than his ‘foreign’ policy blunders, blind-sides, abandonments, and worst of all, what we don’t know about, yet.

I don't care about the OP as a person. I have no clue and no reason to learn anything. I care about the OP post being pitiful garbage not worthy of a complete thought in response. Maybe we shouldn't try to contribute in a pseudo intellectual pigsty, aside from vicious humor of course.

The President's effect on the economy goes beyond legislation; he sets the attitude and optimism. When economic decision maker see a President determined to punish "millionaires and billionaires" and make them "pay their fair share" they tend to become conservative with their investing and business plans. When the President is seen as a friend of business and espouses economic growth and prosperity business people and investors act accordingly with increased investment and business growth. This was dramatically demonstrated in the pronounced upswing the DJIA make the day after Trump was elected.Trump succeeded in getting his tax plan through which helps.

thats simply not true, but a fantasy people tell themselves to feel better about their personal philosophy.

That's going to come as a shock to the myriad economics PhD I learned it from. I can only present the facts I can't make you understand them.

Not me spewing idiotic blather.

I’m wondering what it look like where today’s GOPs do a Goldwater or a Railsback, as in 1974. We don’t know yet whether today’s GOPs will give any credence to a Romney or a Rooney.

We do know that today’s GOPs will overlook everything, as long as they have what they think is this great economy. Farmers are certainly a subset of trump’s support that wishes to disagree with you.
