Our Republic Is Under Attack From the President

WTF? If abraham lincoln came back to life and said trump is jeopardizing america you folks on the right would call him a hater too.

Sounds to me like the right will try its best to make up any excuse to dismiss reality. Any excuse.

JFK could come back to life and say Trump's doing a good job and you dudes would shoot him again. :lamo

You all are pissed off because you can't break my argument.

Where did he say he should be removed by force? The only coups going on are the coups where trump has stolen the brains of those on the right.

Nor did he mention impeachmentn or the ballot box. You have no argument to defend him with. There are troops in uniform, some are deployed. It's bad for morale for former general officers to make public comments like this. McRaven knows better. He's a piece of **** for doing so.

And you have no argument to back your claim. The question is whether people in authoritative positions (former or current) deem this president so inept and of questionable morals that they choose to break normal decorum to express these views. One can be silent as a house burns down out of some sense of tradition, or one can shout FIRE out of a sense of duty.

McRaven is calling for a coup when he said Trump should be "removed". Any member of the service that would make the comment he made, after swearing an oath to support and defend The Constitution, is a piece of ****.

Every single founding father was a traitor to England.

Just sayin'...

Where did he say "impeach", or voted out?

What happens wham a president is impeached. What is the term used if he is convicted?

I know its gonna hurt, but rip that bandaid off. It'll be less traumatic.

"This retired SEAL Admiral has gone mad and is calling for a violent overthrow of Republicans and everything conservative!!11!!"

I can't believe that's someone's take. No way. No one believes that.

Where did I say there was an actual coup? Yeah, I didn't think I did.

Careful backpedaling like that.

Your foot could slip off the pedal and it'll swing around and smash your widdle shin.

They don't even do first level parsing for veracity. Just swallow it whole in one gulp.

How is The Republic under attack?

Haha.

Side note: I doubt anything good ever happened at Ft. Bragg parade grounds (been there). I bet a couple Joes passed out because they kept their knees locked. It ain't right to mess with Joe like that.

Impeachment is the mechanism for removal; or the 25th Amendment. Neither is a 'coup'. Both are constitutionally mandated procedures for removing a sitting president for either high crimes and misdemeanors or for being medically or mentally unfit.

And if ever there were a president worthy of a coup this would be the one anyway.

Is that the extent of your evidence that McRaven is calling for something sudden, violent, and illegal?

Or do you have more?

This is just a wild guess, but I don't believe apdst plans to reply to your question, lol.

The use of words like coup, and the discussion of civil war all strike me as psyops bull****.

It gets people to frame things in terms which are much more dire than things actually are.
It's really bad mojo imho.

Better to call that **** out now.

Removing a president via impeachment is very Constitutional. Our forefathers had the fore-sight to see that one day we might have a President that was unfit for office and the Union was in peril with each day he was in office. Impeachment provides a remedy when matters can not wait until the next election.

Suggesting what he said was to call for a coup shows a vast ignorance on your part. A "coup" is a-Constitutional. McRaven was calling for Constitutional means for effecting change.

Is this going to be like all the talk Trump made about locking Clinton up during his campaign, then when he won the election he stated he didn't want to hurt the Clintons?

We currently have an impeachment process in motion, and if that fails there's an election coming up. Both of those are Constitutionally-approved ways to remove a President from office, and they are not either one a "coup."

Just because idiots on the right wing are using terms like that doesn't mean you have to repeat their nonsense.

Perhaps he's a patriot who honestly believes Trump is doing great long-term damage to the country and its institutions, our allies, our reputation, and is simply unfit for office. What would a patriot who believed that do if not advocate for his obviously constitutionally-approved removal from office? No patriot would remain silent if he believed that, because being silent is to be complicit.

Our Republic Is Under Attack From the President

To save some breath to our right-wing regulars, this is just some worthless opinion from another Deep State traitor.

If you are behind a paywall, you can also read about it here.
- Retired Admiral William McRaven, Navy SEAL who oversaw the Osama bin Laden raid

Trump is doing terrible things that even retired military officers recognize. Here is a short list of the things Trump is destroying:

1. Racial quotas.
2. Gifts to foreign dictators needing money to build weapons with which to kill US servicemen abroad.
3. Homosexual preferences over the rights of non-homosexuals.
4. Progressive approaches to gender, race, and religious reclassifications based upon personal feelings rather that factual or scientific reality.
5. Protections for the murder of unborn human babies.
6. New gun confiscation laws and rules.
7. Political protections for democrats accused of committing crimes in office.
8. Political protections against further investigations into past failed false allegations against Trump.
9. Safely shelved widespread claims of democrat corruption overseas involving high ranking democrats.
10. Scientific evidences for global warming threats requiring tens of trillions of dollar investments to avert disaster.
And so forth
